How would one go about making a Bren? Also I'm new to the forum so I just want to introduce myself and say hi.

Hello, welcome to the forums. Making a Bren LMG would be difficult and expensive, although it could be done.
First, you would need measurements of the gun. Then you would either use a false mag set up (hi-cap m14 or something) and create a false mag to cover it to look like a bren mag, or you could fabricate your own mags (very difficult/expensive). The hop-up used could be a p90, so top-feeding is possible. Anyways, a lot of other parts would need to be fabricated (especially the steel parts on the gun) or bought (handguard). Anyways, it would be really tough, and if it's your first project you might be better off creating a bolt-action Mosin Nagant or SMLE.

Only a standard or midcap would work if you turn it upside down. The mechanism in a hi-cap picks up bb's from the bottom. Turn it over it's not going to work.

Schmitty made one years ago that is a thing of beauty. I'm sure the thread and details are buried on this web site somewhere. As is true of all of Schmittys work it would retail for somewhere around $2,000.00 IF he were willing to sell it. A ton of work. He used a demilled Bren

Yes. That AK to Bren conversion is very clever.
