Sry, i forgot to write that this questions are related to the Sturmgeschütz-Tunic, worn by some soldiers of the panzer lehr.

Don't take me as being anal or anything but I have to point out that on this forum we strive to present a good image to the world, and in particular prospective members. One of the ways we do this is to have good spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Computer shorthand is frowned upon such as 'sry', 'rofl', and so on. Also, I's should be capitalized when used on their own.
That said, good luck getting your kit together! It's good to see you asking questions before you dive into the buying phase. The members here have a wealth of information and generally when they don't know the answer they can point you to someone or somewhere that you can obtain what you are looking for.

Sry, i forgot to write that this questions are related to the Sturmgeschütz-Tunic, worn by some soldiers of the panzer lehr. >> Do you have a Stug?? Try to stay away from armored vehicle uniforms, and rare pictures you might have seen. The MOST common uniform worn was the standard infantry uniform. M36,40,42 and 43 tunics with Heer insignia. I see too many guys at reenactments and airsoft running around in black panzer uniforms or assault gun uniforms because they think its COOL.
Do your research, look at pictures,NOT of reenactors,REAL wartime pics.

Ok. here i got a photo with a soldier, who wears a stug tunic. of course I know that the most common uniform was the standard Heer uniform. Can you advise this books for research? The German Army, 1939-45: Western Front, 1944-45 v. 5 (Men-at-arms) German Army Elite Units 1939-1945 (Men-at-arms) [

Again, don't base your impression off ONE photo! Did guys wear them outside vehicles, sure, absolutely! BUT, it wasn't the most common dress in a panzergrenadier unit. Those Ospreys are OK, but they are just a quick overview of the subjects. Go on Amazon and do a search. They will have what you need.

is that guy circled a pioneer? look at his shoulder boards. i have seen a few photos of pios in panzer wraps.
additionally to counter what was said by fusilier,
many reenactment boards suggest finding a picture of a particular soldier and copying his load out to the T. so long as everyone dose not use the same picture it creates an accurate and non Flaggrantly Wrong impression. as an argument against that, to pick out the coolest guy or to seek out a picture of what you want is a bit childlike. as an argument to counter that, we run around shooting BB guns at each other.
point is. have fun, be creative, BE ACCURATE! more likely then not, no-one will care in combat.

Before you start slamming 'redeemer' for his choice of uniform I think you guys should read up a little on the Lehr and late war Pzr Grenadier uniforms? The field grey special uniform was not only issued to Stug crews, thats one reason why it's properly called the 'special uniform' and not the 'Sturmgeshutz uniform'. It was also issued to a number of Panzer Grenadier units and aufklarung units. Lehr were one, Grossdeutschland another and some limited issue went to the 116th Windhund. There are PLENTY of pictures of Lehr troops wearing this uniform around Normandy time, most seem to have splinter helmet covers too. I would argue that it's not a very practical uniform for airsofting, lack of useful pockets being the biggest limitation but he is absolutely correct in his choice for late war Lehr Panzer Grenadier. Litzen seems to be a mix of the mid war type of two shades of grey some times mounted on a green badgecloth backing and sometimes piped with the green waffenfarbe. This is the type though I'm not sure about the use of twisted cord on this example; www.epicmilitaria.com/product.php/153/panzer-grenadier-collar-tabsimages29.fotosik.pl/9/aff16d24e5088579.jpgimages24.fotosik.pl/9/4bd914691c309ed6.jpgA good thread on the topic here, someone questions the use of the grey special uniform here too. www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227573
