Do you think that this rifle would be possible to build using a legitimate stock and hanguard? I think with a bit of dremeling you could get the JG Bar-10 internals to fit inside of the stock, much like making a custom Mosin-Nagant or Kar98k. You could change the bolt like how remrat did his (thanks a lot man!) and even add a real dust cover to cover up the Bar-10 Reciever (unless the bolt is being racked). I think this would be a much easier and more convincing gun than my previous Lebel 1886 idea (please delete that thread) and unique which was one of my requirements for something I am going to put time and effort into. Thanks much for being patient with me while I try to tackle the biggest airsoft project I have ever done.

this might not be that hard of an undertaking. real last ditch type99s can be acquired for pretty damn cheap if you look hard, it might not be to hard to fine one to chop up.
the design of the rifle is simple, and if you can conceive an easy conversion we could get in influx of Japanese reenactors.
I sir applaud you efforts and wish you only the best of luck.
BAR-10 conversions really are not that complicated if you have a pipe cutter, remove all the barrel shroud from the magazine well forward and the rest will come naturally.
