I could use some help with my 101st Airborne gear

I'm working on my 101st Airborne impression. I play airsoft with this gear. I want to get this look down 100%. I know I may have somethings wrong and I know I'm missing somethings. So ANY help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Ok here are some pics. I'm going for a sub-machine gunner loadout, so keep that in mind.



This is the gear (my paratrooper jacket and pants are being washed.)



This is my pistol belt. Is there anything missing? I know the Thompson mag pouch is incorrect, but that is what the next pic is about. Also, I know I'm missing an E - Tool and the cover for it. I currently have on: M1 carbine pouch, M1911 ammo pouch, wire cutter pouch, 1st aid pouch, canteen, and thompson ammo pouch. See anything I'm missing?




Ok, here is the mag pouch that is VERY incorrect. First off, it is USMC and everyone knows that the 101st Airborne is in the Army. This is my biggest issue so far. I have a 20rd five cell pouch as you can see in the whole load out pic, but I HATE 20 rd mags on a Thompson. That is just personal preference. What I would like to know is how they stored their Thompson mags. Please help? I have heard of a GP bag and a gas mask bag but I have no idea where they go. Also are 5 cell pouches for the 30 rd magazine available?



Is my mussete bag strung up correctly? I think it is. I strung it up on instinct, kind of guessing where things go attached. I've looked at pictures and I think it looks alright, but if you noticed something wrong, please by all means let me know! Also, I have a question about the next picture I'm going to show.



Are these hooks in the right place? Also the grenade can go clipped on there, right?

My biggest issue right now is the Thompson magazine storage. Also, I know I'm missing the knife. I'm pretty sure it goes strapped on to the boot, but how? And would a sub - machine gunner have an M1 carbine ammo pouch?

looks pretty good. i recomend getting a thompson shoulder bag. Not 2 be a d ick, but the spade on ur helmet looks a little trianglish and large. Maybe some scrim mite make ur helmet look better. other than that everything is perfect. i like the original gear btw

You can use the 5 cell ammo pouch with the 30 rounders , just wrap the flap around the mag and snap it in place .

Undo your musette bag and attach the M36 suspenders to the pistol belt , then just use the hook on the musette to attach it to the D-rings on the M36 suspenders and you are done.

Decide on what type of knife you want and then attach it either to your pistol belt or to your leg , to attach the knife to your leg you will need a "utility" strap , tie it to your leg and then use the tie down string on your knife scabbard to secure your scabbard to your ankle.

The grenade is fine on the D-ring of the suspenders , just use some demo tape to secure it to the suspenders so you don't drop it.

Lose the Carbine pouch , you don't need it .

Minor detail: I'd loose the Officer Stripe on the Helmet, unless you really were an officer in one of the Services.

The grenade on the suspenders is ok but while your running that might fall off. And I don't believe there was ever 5 cell pouches for the 30 round magazines, only 3 cells. You'd either have 5 cells for 20 round magazines, or 3 cells for 30 round magazines. By the way my friend only uses 30 round magazines for his thompson and he puts them in the 20 round pouches, they stick out a bit but he says they never fall out. The carbine pouch is fine alot of times there was a random ammo pouch for another weapon, probably because they changed weapons or maybe though they looked cool with it

As for the grenade, it is clipped in to one of the hooks, so it isn't going to fall off.

I used to to do the thing where I put the 30 round mag in the 20rd mag pouch, but I don't like that look and I'm trying to go for something more accurate. The only 3 cell mag pouch I was able to find was USMC. I don't thing the Army had it.

As for the mussette bag, Adler 69, I'm not too sure what you mean, by looking at it, do I have it right? When I attach it to the pistol belt, I attach a total of 4 hooks, the two that intersect that go in the back, and the 2 that go over the shoulder in the front. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated!
