So I decided after seeing the cool KingArms Thompson with stamped trades and real wood that I'll engrave my KA Thompson with white trades. There not perfect but for my first time engraving anything it looks alright. I was using the trades as guides for the engraving but it turns out that the letter spacing is too close on the painted trades for engraving. (Most obvious on the Auto ordnance side). Anyway pics: Very happy with this side: I'll fill this with bondo and start again when it starts to bug me. Same with this: Distance: I know it's not great, but it's better than white trades.(I didn't touch the Logo though)

Couldn't just paint thinner the applesauce out of them, and use an exacto knife or something?

I'm really close to doing that, it's not like it's going to add any more resistance to the GearBox.
