Cool. A German could use it as a captured weapon. Puts a little swing difference n a normal mosin and ppsh.

Absoluely! Zeta labs and ICS may ultimately be the hobbys salvation. A good selection of viable weapons have been sorely missing for so long and finally seem to be coming to fruition although I'll believe them when I see them for sale and being delivered. The SVT would be even better for Korea and Namsofting. Way way better than burlap wrapped AK 47s which we've had to endure for far too long.

The SVT will be a nice add for the East Front. The Russians had them although they didn't maintain them and the Germans liked using them when they could. I don't think they'll flood the playing field because people still like SMGs. Man those Russians are looking good. A bevy of commercial weaponry if this materializes and fairly inexpensive uniforms and comfortable kit.

Good for a Finnish impression, too. The Finns turned everything they could capture against the Russkies. Also good for Eastern Front Resistance or for the Volkssturm. ;D A valuable addition. Hope they make it affordable.

Since its brought up as a weapon for Volksstrum, did the Volksstrum also use captured Thompson's? I understand they used Sten's so would it have been possible?

Anything is possible, but Stens, as you know, shot 9mm ammo...which Germany produced a lot of. If you carried a Thompson in the Volksstrum, you would probably need to capture .45 ammo to keep shooting. I know that late in the war, on top of using captured Stens, Germany produced a Sten copy as well.

The SVT should do well as it is a desireable collectible in real steel and is a bad ass looking weapon that covers many many periods. I know it will end up on my display wall which due to the recent new weapons choices available is getting bigger and bigger.

Automatic Firing Mode? I read some where that they did have an automatic SVT but they were very rare. Also <1000 MG42? Awesome.

Glad I have it as they command premium prices these days.

Typically weapons that are extremely expensive or highly desireable are the models that do best as airsoft replicas. The SVT has been long overdue. Hopefully this ends up in the marketplace and is readily available. It looks like this outfit is looking for distributors?
