Just finished the Sten conversion I was working on for Andre who is a Soviet member of MOA. This is another AGM Sten Mk2 that was calling out to me. I know that for an Eastern Front impression, Andre still needs a PPsh-41, but now he'll be all set if he wants to do British Special Forces. The ergonomics of this build are really nice. It makes for a sweet load-out. I really enjoyed going through a test magazine. It is more like a Mk 4-1/2 because I really wasn't going to rebuild the receiver to make it look spot on. This is a compromise and I tucked the rear pistol grip in where you see it. Yes, there are some scale inequities but I can live with it and when in the hands of a combatant, you won't notice anything but a rain of highly accurate bbs headed your way. The battery space is in the stock and it is auto fused with a 20A fuse so that's an improvement over the tube stock. I'll probably be regretting this build at APOC Stalingrad in January. I did paint the front sight to match the rest of the gun after pics so it will be the same surrounding black color when it debuts. The front barrel is threaded to accept a silencer should Andre want that at some point. I also replaced the plastic end (which was missing) with metal piece.

Very carefully. But really, I ordered the front sight assemby, the front grip, the rear stock metal MKV piece along with a sling from Sten parts places and then set about fashioning the rear stock and rear pistol grip. I had a wood-shop at my disposal. I also cannibalized the old tube stock so that the new rear end works just like the stock version in connecting to the gun. But now it stays connected since the is no need to take off the stock to change batteries. I don't do step-by-steps as I don't have the patience. Anyone with some shop experience could do this build though because I'm no master machinist. Oh, no drawings or models either as I just eyeballed dimensions. It's an airsoft gun after all. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Another "one of a kind" and she looks very nice. I am guessing Andre will be very happy with it.
