G&G makes a fine gun so that should be quite nice. I wonder what shipping typically is and how much spare magazines are? 9 ready rounds though isn't going to get it although I like the added realism of small capacity magazines and that it comes with two. I also like that it is Co2 which I think is a manageable and consistent gas source. It depends on what your power settings are and the outside temperature but I am curious how many shots one could expect from a CO2 cartirdge and if it uses the regular size or the somewhat smaller ones.?

It uses 8 gram Co2. Land Warrior Airsoft in the UK said mags should be about 35Euro, so in the US we might be looking at $40-$60.

I didn't realize Tanaka did a CO2 version of their gun? Is the GnG as far as you can tell a clone of the Tanaka. I have messed around with the Tanaka K98 quite a bit and it is exceptionally nice. The magazines were traditional gas however. Interestingly the FPS went up (not down) when heavier Bbs were used. (Long barrel accumulated more gas before reaching the muzzle)

Getting one of these is a HIGH priority for me.

Tanaka doesn't have a CO2 version of their magazines, theirs are all green gas. But both magazines will fit in both guns becuase the G&G is a clone of Tanaka

The Tanaka is a perfectly skirmishable weapon (even in the winter) and this one with CO2 powered magazines should be even more so provided one had enough magazines and enough practice with it. Come on GnG can a Springfield be far behind?

I hope they come out with a springfield it should be easier to build than the K98

If this rifle sells well I have to believe that a Springfield would be offered in the same layout. That would be awesome. I do like the simplicity and consistency of spring powered but the easy action and louder report is really nice in a gas gun.

I am apprehensive about CO2 as a propellant, as I have yet to see one that will shoot a consistent FPS curve. They seem to have a tendency to spit the occasional hot round.

That is true of green gas as well. Gas is definitely not as consistent as electric. One would think Co2 would be less so but apparently not.

I think a lot of it has to do with what company is making the rifle. Some companies can get very good consistency with any propellant, others can fail miserably. G&G has typically been a company with better tolerances so hopefully its true of the Kar98K as well
