Somebody else on the british forum already went this route I believe. I'm merely follow his example. These are the the only pics i have right now, i'll make some more with a decent camera soon. Basicly you assemble the bits of an SVT-40 and take a A&K springer SVD, start cutting, fitting, some more cutting (keep repeating this proces) till you end up here. Still a lot to do, but I think it will be useable with a few more hours of work. Sadly I don't have the skills (or acces to machinery for that matter) to work with metal, so I'm afraid the reciever and bolt will remain rather svd-esque. but in the end it will get the job done

Interesting concept. Good Job. Oh, where did you get the SVT parts?

Thank you.
I got a decommissioned rifle from Zib-Militaria.de (it's a german shop, about 4 hours driving from my home).

I am going a bit other way. I took AEG SVD (also A&K, decreased the thickness of the receiver (it is to wide to git into the original wooden buttstock) and replaced the SVD flash hinder/front sight with the original one. Also original trigger and trigger guard was used. Rear sight will be also original. And finally. The ASG magazine insert fits perfectly (with a little file and sanding job) into original SVT magazine box.
