"One piece barrel with realistic markings on chamber" Not... so much... it's stamped with the Ishevsk firing proof, but completely missing the Soviet wreath. Also, ewwwwww pressed in full length brass sling slot escutcheons... those were never actually used (full length pressed in escutcheons were used after the war during rearsenal, but were made of either steel, aluminum, or tin [although some got a significant amount of wood finish slopped over them, and ended up looking like brass or copper, all you have to do is scrape them with a dental pick and you'll see the metal really quick], depending on the year of rearsenal and the factory producing them. Also, in 1941, Ishevsk switched over to wartime escutcheons, which consisted of a half piece of unfinished steel bent over the bottom of the rear sling slot, and no escutcheon in the front... Brass nosecaps never happened either, and were always made of blued steel... naughty naughty Matrix). Also, it strikes me that I might be OCD about Mosins... hmmm... "Reinforced ABS stock" Blech... at least original stocks are only about $20... "Uses Tokyo Marui highly accurate hopup bucking" Aftermarket compatibility is always a nice thing... All told I think I'll wait and see if: #1 this thing actually makes it over here (researched the BAR incident...), and #2 it's up to snuff and doesn't just explode when the trigger is pulled.

Well, I cannot complain too much since it is the only one under $280 or in the US!

It is another clone, so this is the fifth company to manufacture the same weapons. Well, it would be the fourth. But this is Matrix! It doesn't exist, they just want to look cool. It will be delayed for 3 years then evaperate

I'd go with the one that's already available, and just pay for the expedited shipping, but that's up to you. I might end up buying it if someone can confirm that the receiver and bolt are genuinely steel... or at least metal... so that I can do a nice conversion to a decently interesting sniper (have a nice '44 Yoshkar Ola PU scope set, and a 39 Progress PEM set sitting here... and I'm not sure which one I would want to put on for display... because neither original is going anywhere near an airsoft field for any reason).

It looks too pretty with the brass and fancy lookin stock (even though its ABS). Id be afraid to use it in fear of scuffing it too much. Id buy a surplus stock, they look way cooler. Fatheranderson, where do you find stocks for $20!?!

Just paint the brass and re-stain the stock if you don't like it. These are small problems.

Fatheranderson, where do you find stocks for $20!?! Local parts shop had 4 of 'em mixed into a barrel of various model Mauser stocks for that price (everything in the barrel was $20, so I used the excuse to pick up all 4 Mosin stocks, a beautiful WaA 63 stock, and a WaA117 Erma stock which immediately went to work restoring a beautiful AX 41 bolt/stock mismatch). You can find 'em really cheap if you know where to look, which is to say, camp out on Gunbroker or eBay for a few days and you'll inevitably find one for a really good price.
