I wasn't sure where else to post this so I'm posting it here. If it's in the wrong area please let me know. Thanks!
All proceeds for the game will go directly to the Gaughan family to help cover funeral and other expenses. The intent of the day is to remember a young man who went out of his way to help those around him, who loved to tinker, build and create, and to someone who always had a smile on his face because he was doing what he enjoyed.
'Griff' was an excellent airsoft smith, an all around great guy, and this loss to the airsoft community in Kansas City is being felt by all.
So in memorial, the members of MUTT (Griff's team), MAKO and SABRE are banding together to put on an OP from planning and commitment of resources to execution in less than two weeks. We do this because all of us cared about Griff, and he deserves to be remembered by nothing less than a great OP, something he would have enjoyed immensely.
The Goal:
Our goal is to get at least 100 players! It would be awesome to achieve that 100 player hit in less than two weeks, if we keep pushing!
All proceeds, and I mean all proceeds will be going to directly benefit the Gaughan family, and to help us remember a player who helped make TAB what it is today.
Thus far, MAKO has worked with Voodoo Tactical and Elite Force Airsoft to offer sponsorship for the game, and SABRE will be donating some items for a raffle that will include quite a few prizes!
Let's remember Griff, and celebrate the life of an incredibly awesome person in the way he would have wanted!
The OP:
SITUATION:
A force of elite fighters have infiltrated a military missile base in an attempt to lower the defenses against a tactical missile strike from the neighboring city-state of Tabistan. This is the first phase of a series of small scale assaults to open the floodgates for the Tabistan Liberation Army to reclaim its former territories.
A NATO task force, with the support of local law enforcement, has been dispatched to neutralize the militia, rescue as many hostages as possible, and disarm the bombs set to destroy the facility.
LOCATION:
The operation will take place in Lawson, Missouri at the Tactical Airsoft Base. For those wondering, the site is a former NIKE Missile Base used during the cold war.
'The Base' is a compound set with 7 buildings that offer a wide variety of CQB situations. With 4 larger buildings each with multiple rooms and entries, as well as 4 smaller buildings offering tactical control points, there is a wide variety of angles for play.
