Hey everyone! I had some tech questions. I have an AGM STG44 that #1 double feeds occasionally, also, my magazine will only feed 4 bbs with any decent wind up. Do I have any solutions or do I just have a really ugly looking $200 replica...

Seems like a problem with the magazine. Some of my mags misfeed on occasion, i just give em a very scientific slap and they start working again. A better solution might be to oil the mag spring.

Oil will attract dust and dirt so I wouldn't really suggest though.

The mag spring is the flat coil inside the hi cap and isn't really exposed to dust and dirt. But if we were talking about low and midcaps then i'd agree with you.

See if you can borrow a friends mag, if the problem persist it might be your hopup unit/rubber.
Could be a bad batch of BB's as well, do you have any others to try perhaps?

I just replaced my whole hop up unit. I am going to order another mag soon. I found part of the feeding problem. The magazine "stopper" for lack of better terms to keep bbs from pouring out of the feed tube would not move far enough due to the hop up's feed tube not being long enough. I shortened the stopper a little and it will feed ~40bbs on a good wind. BUT I still have a double feed issue. Unfortunately I do not have another mag, I will order one soon since I need extra anyways.

Aside from that, would it be a good idea to ditch the current internals? I have heard that AGM has a way of making hit or miss guns....

I wouldn't ditch them as long as they are working. The gearbox should have nothing to do with the feeding problems. I hate high caps either way.

I appreciate everyone's help! I got all the problems resolved! Now it is a matter of upgrading because I still want a gun that I can compete with other tacticool players. So far I have an Echo 1 Full metal hop-up unit, Prometheus hop up bucking, and H hop up knob! Again, thank you for the help! Also, I have weathered it some!

Looks really good. Now give that handle the Bakelite treatment!

Agreed! I found some for the live steel for $40, I may get them!

Those won't work I'm afraid. The handles on the AGM aren't removable and by doing so you'll probably weaken the motor mounts. Paint is your only option.

I wish the trigger group was authentic, but hey, we have a $200 STG44 so I cannot complain too much!

Hi I stand to be corrected but double feeding is usually a lip problem as for the winding problem you might have to open the mag and see if there is dust/ dirt or a piece of a bb in there Hey everyone! I had some tech questions. I have an AGM STG44 that #1 double feeds occasionally, also, my magazine will only feed 4 bbs with any decent wind up. Do I have any solutions or do I just have a really ugly looking $200 replica...

I bought the cheaper version frome evike that has an imitation wood stock, the mag doesnt always feed, upon closer inspection the mag that came with the gun is so loose and wobbley that wen I want it to feed right I have to hold it in. Has anyone else had this problem? If so how could It be fixed? Also the pin that holds the stock on doesnt fit in

Tommy, I have had the exact problem. On the left side of the receiver there are some screws, tighten them down. The magwell is in 2 halves. If you cannot fix it, I will upload a video on it. Let me know.

Thank you warbirdguy, I tried my set of allen wrenches but they were standard, I need to check the toolbox again because the screws are metric allen head

does anyone know where I can get spare parts for the mp44? the pin that holds the lower reciever and magwell together is only held in by gravity, so when I turned the gun on its side to reload or something it fell out and I lost it.
