German Flashlight

I can't seem to find any websites that will tell me about the German soldiers flashlight, so after scrounging around, I've seen them that look VERY similar to this one

Maybe if I break off or just paint the slide knobs, it would look passible? Any suggestions?

I found a East German one at my local Surplus store, its not exact, but its not like i wore it, i used to to see in my tent Unless you're going for full re-enacting it wont really matter to people at all But that looks good enough, and the knobs don't matter

You can find repro's pretty cheaply. Besides those people also used plain metal flashlights of the era from pictures i have seen.
