did you feed .12 gram bbs into yours as well? there is some sort of a magnetic part in the grip, so I dont think that is the problem

That "magnetic part" is the motor inside the grip. The grip is made of cast zinc/aluminum so it cannot be magnetized. Now, what are the particular symptoms so we can help you with a diagnosis? Using .12g bbs will not damage an airsoft gun.

While feeding crappy .12's doesn't exactly make it explode into pieces, it can jam the gun and cause some problems that lead to more problems if you persist on trying to shoot the gun.
.12's are crappy as they are generally made with low standards. (Seams which rip your hopup rubber, potentially jam in the hopup unit or barrel to due inconsistent diameter.)
Without more information or a first hand view, it is hard to make a good accurate diagnosis I would check the battery, is it charged? Are you using a good charger? What type of battery are you using? mAh and Voltage, Nimh vs Nicad vs Lipo etc.. etc..
What was going on when the problem first occurred, that type of thing. Be as specific as you can be.

If it doesn't make any noise, check you battery connection, if that doesnt work it may be a wiring issue, in which case you may have to re-solder the wires. If it makes a noise but wont follow through, the gears could have seized up for whatever reason. As listed before, describe symtoms
