My new MP44 has died. It makes an odd, very loud buzzing sound when I pull the trigger, and nothing happens. Anyone know the problem?

The motor height could need adjusting, but my first guess would be a stripped gear or piston. If you are comfortable opening up the mechbox, do so and have a look. Or find somebody who is.

I would recommend first before buying a motor. Take the gun apart, separate the motor from the gearbox, plug the battery in, hold the motor down to a clean and solid surface and pull the trigger. If the motor turns with authority, you may have a locked up gearbox, many things can cause that, my experience is below.
I had a motor buzz like it was under stress in a Thompson, I know it is not the same gun but in my case, I had an anti-reversal latch that was not installed properly from the factory and locked up the gears, keeping the gun from turning over.

It's definitely the piston, motor or your gears are stripped. Take it apart and check it out, my mp40 had a stripped gear and it made a loud buzzing noise.

I had the same problem with mine, I took it into the shop and should be getting it back any time now. They thought it would be a problem with the inner barrel. It could have been messed up on the inside, but they havent told me exactly what they found in there yet. I assume they will when I get it back.
