External Co2 Mod.The idea behind this is far more stable and consistent shooting. Little to no fluctuating in pressure. Instead of 8G of Co2, I have 9Oz/12Oz/20Oz/etc.. Once I obtain a regulator, I can adjust the PSI thus adjusting the FPS to accommodate the day. Big bonus in my books. The downfall is you are attached to a hose and lugging a big Co2 can just like the Shoie MG, Polar Star Fusion Engine MB, a Daytona Gun kit, etc.. etc.. It's pretty straightforward. Drill an tap a male plug into the Co2 bulb. (Sorry for the blurry pics) Drill out space in the bottom of the magazine so it may poke out. Insert the Co2 bulb, screw on the Male quick attach. Plug away and go. All I need now is the one mag, and lots of the ammo clippy things. It's pretty sturdy, we'll see how it holds up once it's gamed, but I am not worried. I have to square away a leak or two, but she works great. Very happy with it. Update: +500 rounds later, all is well! Getting a stable ~420-430 FPS with .25's, was about ~25 degrees out (Celsius) when I tested. I love my K98 with this mod, I do not see myself picking up the propane/green gas mags. Small update. I've had to JB weld the threads and surrounding area on the male plug. The 8G Co2 bulb walls, are very thin. This was the cause of leaks and a few blow outs. (Having a remote line burst off the rifle, flailing about blasting Co2 out is not as fun as you may think.) I'm waiting for my regulator to show up in the mail. Once that is here, I'll be testing her out. I don't feel 100% comfortable testing her out until the regulator shows up. I fear the 20 Oz Co2 can is blasting far too much pressure for the 8G bulb to hold safely. As well as the threads/JB weld potentially getting damaged. Should be here shortly-ish. All in all though - she does/did work. It's now just kicking out the bugs, making it work as she is supposed to

Last but not least update! I have tested the rifle out without a regulator, I get a very nice consistent ~420-430 FPS with .25's, and she shoots FAR. No idea on measurements, but it's far. Still awaiting my regulator, but I doubt I will be using it much at all. I love this rifle with this mod, no fuss with pesky 8G Co2 cartridges. I do not ever see myself switching to the Propane/Green Gas magazines. More here: ontarioairsoftwwiireenactors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1583
