Like all of the bar10 or vsr11 rifles they will eventually wear down the sears and slam fire because they are made out of play-dough. I haven't used my kar98 in almost a year now, and really want to get it working again, I've spent too much time custom building it to leave it. But I can't seem to find steel sears in the US and if I do, they are over $200... So where did you guys buy yours from? Also I don't mind sanding it to get it to fit with the rest of the gears, as long as I know it won't ever wear out.

I was looking into that, but from reading the reviews appearently it doesn't last too long. But have you used it? Maybe someone just got a lemon and didn't feel like returning it.

It depends what kind of spring your using. A strong spring will wear it out quickly. It can handle the stock BAR-10 spring with no problems though. www.airsoftatlanta.com/UTG_Shadow....bly_p/45472.htm That set you mentioned above is not for the Bar-10 by the way.

I am using the stock springs for the bar-10, so it should work fine with them? The only thing I'm worried about is that people said in the review it doesn't hold up well. But I also found this set on evike today: www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=35657

I've never had any problems with my Airsoft GI set. I am sure you'll be fine with the stock spring. As for the set above, I have never heard of them. I've heard good things about polar star though they are a lot more expensive and often out of stock. The absolute best is going to be a zero trigger but they cost $180. A zero trigger will out last any sear.

I have that set. They are a good value at only $30. Your not gonna want to use to strong of springs with them but they are great with the stock spring and will handle a few upgraded springs too.

How much modification did you have to do to get the ASGI sear into place? Seems like it's alot more trouble than I originally thought

I didn't need to modify anything. I forgot though they don't seem to work with anything but the ASGI piston. I totally forgot about that.

Hmm, so I'd have to buy the piston too
I think I'm going to give the "Angel Custom" set a try, if it has serious problems I'll return it

I figured the Evike set will be here this week, (Probably Friday) so I'll let you guys know how it works out. I didn't want to get the deepfire set since that would take a month to get here from China, and I might use it at the reenactment Saturday
