So I'm a guy with big feet and I simply CANNOT find German EM jackboots in my size (14), so I found these alternates, and at the 10 foot rule, I'm sure would pass pretty dang well. However, I'm trying to decide which one's are more proper. I have read that the German jackboots were between 32-35cm high, or about 12-13 inches (now this is from wikipeadia, so I would rather get a second opinion.) Here are my two options: The first pair are 18 inches high and made some time during the Soviet era. The second pair, as you can see are shorter at 14 inches high, which corresponds to Wikipedia, but as I stated, I'd rather have a second opinion.

I wear East German jackboots. Which I like because of the ribber souls. IMHO you should be fine. PRO TIP: roll your boots down, then when its time to "gear up" Roll them up, your pant legs look much cleaner.

west german tank/parade boots look much better tbh. DDR boots look odd with a rubber sole and are really 'rough' compared to WWII jackboots. Bundy boots are near identical to WWII type ones, the only difference is that the leather sole has a stuck on rubber 'grip' panel rather than being hobbed but they can be hobbed. Russian ones actually have a different look where the upper joins the 'shoe' bit of it. These boots here are post war west german ones. Mine cost me £35 gbp. TBH they are usually easier to find in sensible sizes than DDR ones these days.
