go to G&G website www.quay2.com (ya stupid name). and on their latest news it shows a whole bunch of slide pictures from the arms and hunting event in russia. multiple pictures are shown and you can see the m1 garand hung on the back wall, but also i noticed some elderly asian fellow with some russian guy holding a g43. the g43 looks like it is a prototype.

Sharp eye! Website should be guay2.com/. Bigger picture here, can't embed it for some reason. [a href="http://www.guay2.com/web/news/2012_russia/[Originals]/v16.jpg"]http://www.guay2.com/web/news/2012_russia/[Originals]/v16.jpg[/a]

The g43 is such a logical offering. Iconic, extremely expensive in real steel, an excellent firearm and potentially a fabulous addition to the ww2 armory. If it is just now showing up in sneek pictures, expect it to be released sometime in this decade.

I should just have some of my paycheck direct deposited to G&G.
We can probably expect more information from Shot Show.

I'm going to shot show in jan, when I Goto their booth I will post photo's. but do realize G&G will make their proprietary mag low/medium cap. So I would guess the g43 will have a 40-50 shot capacity. Hopefully they won't even dare do a hicap. That is, if its true my electric powered.

Proprietary magazines? Seems to me if you manufacture a unique weapon, its magazines are by definition proprietary. Not like there are any other G43s with which to be incompatible.
We can only hope to get the PPSh "problem" of magazine X not fitting in gun Y.

I am assuming that if this prototype gets released it will follow the work applied to their pending Garand and unlike DRK I hope upon hope that it too will be an AEG. Gas semi automatics for the most part suck big time.

Gas semi automatics for the most part suck big time. The notable exception being the Shoei MP-44 which really only works well on semi-auto. The G-43 news is interesting and if it is AEG, then it should sell well. It looks like they are fighting over it in the photo.

An electric g43 would be none sense, winding sound when you deserve a clack. Ugh, imagine if its EBB like a "combat machine"

DRK - DRK - yes, it has the AR-15 spring. Also, a CO2 semi would be pretty cool. Maybe get a couple of mags between cartridge changes. I could live with that too.

If any gun is affordable, reliable, durable, consistent and skirmishable while providing an accurate representation of a ww2 weapon not currently available i am automatically a fan. If its happens to be gas so much the better. I like the louder report, limited mag and ammo capacity of gas guns. The problem is there have been precious few that meet the criteria. For that reason and that reason only i hope if this product ultimately becomes available i hope it will be an aeg.
A g 43 along with a viable garand would be awesome wouldnt it?

IMHO, the STG that's out there is completely fine, except for the fire selector. Now this G43, while I do want an AEG, I think if it was exclusively CO2 it would be fkn awesome!! Just not made with the pot metal that the manufacturers are so fond of using.
Needs to be blowback.

Well drat. A Russian who occassionally visits the MOA forum posted this: This G43 have brought and hunting show our boys and have shown the representative G&G. In hope that they will want their do. But so this worker variant G43, but is made boys themselves in Russia and Ukraine. We Shall hopes on the best.

Its amazing how rumors get cranking and generate so much energy and discussion Here we are waiting with bated breath for the GARAND release which has seemingly gone into limbo and we jump on and get jazzed about a product not even in their prototype phase. Its cool that a hobbyist shared their effort in an attempt to generate interest. Obviously it worked as it sure got us pumped. Hopefully it will likewise get GnG excited. Once they get their Grarand out there, assuming it is successful (which I know it will be) there are so many WW2 projects that can be supported with a new gearbox.

I've emailed G&G directly about it and they said they're still considering it.
