So I bought a Bar-10 about 3 months ago and now whenever I pull the bolt back, it locks but then when I try to push it forward, it shoots forward and doesn't load or cock. Help?

A very common problem with the vsr clones although not as prevalent with the jg bar 10 as other vsr variants. The sear that holds the spring and locks it into place until you,re ready to fire wears out. This causes slam firing or other problems. Odds are you will have to buy a replacement (hopefully upgraded part) to fix it. I seem to remember that i bought upgraded trigger assemblies at amazon although i may be mistaken. I also vagely remember threads with suggested other fixes although i suspect they would be dubious or temporary.
The replacement parts have held up fine thus far. For my custom conversions i automatically upgrade that part having learned the hard way both from my own use and my customers. The marui vsr doesnt typically exhibit the problem but due to japanese law they shoot stock at 290 fps while the chinese clones often shoot 465 and higher right out of the box. The part simply isnt up to the tolerances required.
Good luck with it. Hopefully others will join in with their input as im sure assorted fixes have been used.

Yup, it's a weakness of the VSR/Bar10's pot metal, 45 degree sears. I replace mine immediately as well. IMHO, Edgi makes the best sears (and other Bar10 upgrade parts). You can email him at: Edgi_langis@yahoo.com...Or you can try the various after market sears around. Just make sure it's for the the Bar10/VSR10 and that they are made of steel. It would be best if you replaced the piston as well, the stock plastic piston wears out pretty quickly when used with upgraded steel sears.
