I was looking through world.guns today and saw this thing: world.guns.ru/machine/fi/ls-26-e.htmlIt looks like it would be pretty easy to do in airsoft. I'm thinking taking a CYMA AK-47 and removing the handguard and outer barrel, then making a new heat shroud out of PVC piping, making a new front sight, and repositioning the rear sight. It looks pretty easy to me. If you wanted to go further, you could remake the stock and use a shorter magazine. The only glaring problems I can see are the location of the selector switch and magazine. Just a thought. Anyone done anything like this before?

It does appear to be a reasonable project as the basic alighnment of everything looks about right. A fabricated, fairly authentic reciever group would be reasonably easy. I would recommend using a SVD AEG for the base weapon as it would include the longer barrel, a bipod and the shorter magazines which would simply require a new housing. With all that said it is such an obscure weapon I should hardly think it worth the trouble?
