I like real guns so much more then airsoft guns... You can put $2,000 into a airsoft M16 and it still wont work... Or you could get a PDS made for about $1,500...

Nice Scout Impression. I was totally going to bust on you for the USMC 1969 with m56 gear and a xm177. I guess a scout sniper could get that alot easier than a normal grunt. Most Marines had ERDL's in 1969, but I have never seen a grunt with an xm177, and full m56 gear. You mostly saw marines around Hue (1968) and later on with pieces of m56 gear, but the m61 gear was still used until the end of the war in great numbers. Great work, I really like it.

Very impressive! Question: I'm getting a 'Nam impression together and I'm curious about the tape on the '16 I see in that pic and in pics over on the AR15.com site. It looks like that brownish packing tape to me- is it or is it od masking tape, od duct tape?? I have also seen pics with what looked like black grip tape- not duct tape because it had a 'texture' like grip tape...... Hook a brother up, you or 2nd Bat who damn sure knows what I need to use eh? ;D

Thats a nice looking M14 Guinness!
OD duct tape aka 100 mph tape is what you want to cammey up the M16s.

That's me as a gunner in 82nd Airborne, 1968 Vietnam. Picture taken last july. Pity one of the guys took his civilian rucksack with him, kinda ruins the picture. Same event, me and my assistant Ukkoli in action Pictures by "Mardu" Törmälä. Rest of the pics from this event are here: picasaweb.google.com/mtorma/ToD_SixKlicsSee the first pic and you'll understand why I prefer WW2 airsofting these days - I had more than 40kgs (88lbs) of gear on me, and most of the time we did carry your rucks with us.
