you can put your Ka-bar on your web belt that holds up your trousers. A lot a Marines did that to ensure they always had their Ka-bar!

For the USMC imp. are you wearing all 2nd pattern hbts(army)? Never really saw USMC with full army hbt fatigues. I usually see marines with p41 jackets and 2nd pattern army trousers though. I'm also going to put together a korean war marine(which goes along with my rok army). Might go for a rok that is attached to a marine outfit as a translator. Here's my marine Hue 1968. I'm trying to get a m17 gas mask bag and mask, another OD#7 canteen cover and canteen, m1941 pack (top), Ka-bar and inner tube. There was a name on the back of the vest before, so i decided to write over it with my Korean last name in Hangul and English. Still looking for my rok camo for my rok marine. nice impressions, how ever, in Korea, especially in the early part of the war, the USMC supply line hadn't quite caught up to those in Korea. A lot of army uniforms were issued to the Corps. A really good reference, and I was baffled at first, is in the book, The Elite, the USMC's 1st MarDiv 1st Recon Company, there's a series if pics of Marines wearing the non-cold weather army patrol cap. Also, on a side not, the 1st Recon Company was THE only unit to wear the WW2 'frogs' in Korea. The boots, like those worn by Adler are correct. While a lot or, most Marines still wore the leggings, the reconners opted to wear either those that Adler is wearing or all leather black and bloused. In my Marine Corps League Det, we have a Korea/Nam 'gunny' and he was telling me that for a short time, when they were given replacement covers (caps for you non-Marines out there) that were of army issue, they (the Marines) were like, 'what the....?" As soon as they got the USMC 8 point to replace them the army's were 'applesauce canned'....LOL Now, Ed, replace the M1 with an M2 Carbine, Thompson or Grease Gun, don yer 'frogs' and you got yerself a reconner that's make Gunny Caballero proud!!!! LOL

I think this may have been a first in the UK but this weekend at our latest Cold War game we incorporaed a chemcial weapons (simulated onviously element. Here's part of my section in dress state three romeo (as in everything but over boots and gloves) as we were expecting to go in to follow up a chemical strike on the warpac forces... you'll notice one of the lads doesnt have a filter on his mask as we didnt *insist* on them for those that didnt feel fit enough to battle in full IPE (it was a hot day too!) And at a forwards OP the East German opposing forces start to suit up to go forwards and assess the damage!

Hehe It's like Dance Dance Revolution + German Armored = Recess Cup ;D No, but honestly I love impressions that deal with the problems the world faced during the political power struggle and uncertainty of the mid 20th century , recalls a very scary time in recent history. My father went to Berlin as a kid, and when he passed through West gate, Checkpoint B, he and a train full of germans were escorted by under close surveillance of armed easterners. He also recalls seeing an escapee captured and taken away(probably to be "reeducated' on eastern philosophy or whatever big brother had in store for him) Impression looks great gadge

Cool. I've occasionally thought a western game would be interesting, except there's too few Old West style guns and hardly anyone has them.

Really nice outfit gadge! you could use a tan though. There's a local player here who wears a stetson and 2 six guns. What's really impressive is he somehow manages to kill a few M4 weilding players every game.

Nice MVD look Spets! Our old team used to pay in Kamysh and the blue variant for urban games. (yeah I could do with a tan for the look at 'flying lead' but for the other 99 per cent of my life I'd hate that look. I quite like my normal complexion ) At our lying lead game there was considerable lee way in what weapos you could use. There was a blanket ban on AEGs but any wood effect bolt actin rifle was ok (so there were one or two K98s) and most revolvers were fine. Some of the others lads in our 'tribe' were using LiveRoleplay bows and arrows and we all had latex tomahawks that could be thrown. In fact my best kills of the day were tomahawk kills after silently rushing up behind guys and smacking them across the back! EDIT: Because I'm an old school punk/goth/inustrial type of guy not because i'm racist or anything, in the UK looking pale is a bonus in my music scene

Sounds like a fun game.
On the other hand when we play ETO games all of us over here could do with a couple of shades lighter. I think it all adds to the fun/fantasy/role playing factor of this strange hobby of ours. We even have a japanese national who refuses to don the IJA uniform on moral grounds. He plays waffen SS!!!!!!!!!

Hehe There is an IJS re-enactment group in the UK that I really was tempted to join but I'm far too pale and European looking to do it for living history. If its out the public eye in airsoft private battles it doesnt really matter, i mean at the end of the day its 'playing army' in the woods (it's why I occasionally do VC despite being woefully stupid looking at 6'2" with white sking) but I dont think i could pass it off at a public convention! The 'Flying Lead' game was one of the best events I've been to for a long time, it wasn all gun fights it was about different mining companys rying to sake claims, some of these were on indian land so there as a lot of negotiation, roleplaying and double dealing! Add to that roaring camp fires and tent villages!

Over here we do WW2ETO for our regular private battles while our "official" reenactment group does honor guard duties and reenactments in Philippine commonwealth, philippine scouts (we even have a mountain tribe uniform with G string - no one's been brave enough to wear that one) and occasionally IJA uniform. Someday though when i'm really fed up with deciding what to wear i'll go to the regular weekly game in jeans, a t shirt and an M4. Now THAT should be fun.

He wouldn't have looked too out of place as an NTC gunman in libya. I hope he got a few pics taken before he was sent packing.

Gage, I'm intrigued by the 1894 lever action rifle. Never saw an airsoft one, what kind is that, and how well does it shoot? Regards, HornetWSO

It's a springer one my friend Evo bought (no idea of the make). It shot brilliantly, really reliable and great with .25s in. He bought a gas version ofthe same rifle and it broke in days.

I am almost tempted to pick that and a Tanaka revolver up next time I have some money. That would be a truly unique thing to see on the field.

My tanaka M10 was awesome that weekend too. Gadge, what kind of nozzle to you use to fill it with? The one I have seems a bit large and does not seema to allow me to give it a good filling. Regards, HornetWSO

My mate and I just use the small brass extension tube that it came with. Without it the cylinder is too close to the gas cannister to allow a match up and it jut vents gas everywhere.
