Sawdust? If you want, bring them. I will help get a crew Friday night in to place them on the field. There is plenty of open space that they can be used on for sure! We can always use them for the base camps... Make for good pictures!!!

I plan on showing up friday morning too (if it's okay with Sean) to help out. I plan on towing the "workshop on wheels" which can basically do anything but weld.
It seems like us allies are really going to have our hands full with all the axis that seem to be going. More targets I guess ;D

Hey, any Germans or allies with period camping gear such as Tents etc… It is highly encouraged that you bring them so that we will have some nice immersive camps for those players that want to spend the night on the game field.

UPDATE:
Gas prices are crazy. Food prices are getting high. Many of you are driving quite a distance to get to this event.
I've dropped the admission price:
Registered Players
$30
$10 - UNDER 13
Walkon:
$40
$15 - UNDER 13
I'd rather not force people to buy the DVD, so that will be extra. I haven't determined what that will cost yet.
As before, stick around for more updates from the front!

Well after our event this weekend, we had a chance to put together the plan of action for our next two events. It looks like the 3rd Panzergrenadiers are sending a small squad of 4 out to NY for this event! They are: Otto (ersatzjack), Wolfgang (Rekkon), Alban and myself. I also think that one of Wolfgang's friends in Ohio will be driving out too. The plan right now will be to arrive sometime on Friday.
I can't wait to meet you guys!

Just another reminder to the players who are attending:
We are planning on having German and allied period camps for the game field. This means it is a live-fire area. Glasses will be required at all times. I will be running non-scrimmage patrols and guard posts throughout the night for the purpose of realism and battle fatigue. I hope this will add to the emersion of the event. I know it has been fun the last few events.
For others: As Sean already stated- There will be a safe area that modern equipment is allowed. That I believe includes modern tents, food, water bottles etc.
If you have any period tents or anything to contribute to the authenticity of the camp; we highly encourage you to bring it. Camouflage nets, sandbags, one man tents, command tents etc. All of that is more than welcome!!!
All camp sites will be set up for Friday night.
I hope someone will bring a cooking pot of some sort. Maybe we Germans can brew a stew? IDK. But I’m sure it will be fun whatever the case may be. I’m going to bring a bunch of potatoes and carrots for the stew.
Defenses:
As you can see from the pictures I posted above, we are looking at some quality defenses for the event and perhaps not so much of quantity. (This is defiantly subject to change as time goes on)
I will say that we definitively need another HMG crew for the event! So in a nut shell, bring your entrenching tools, bring the heavy guns and plenty of ammo!
If any German players wish to show up Friday to help fortify the line. It will not be discouraged. I will however not be arriving until about 7:00pm. See you on the line!

I have a '44 dated puptent set I can bring, plus 3 or 4 blankets for the allies. My unit has a group-owned WWII squad tent with all the poles/pins. If anybody in my unit is not using it I could perhaps get it for the event.
Man...us allies are going to have a challenge that weekend. This should be fun;D
