You guys are killing me , such an easy weapon. My weapons knowledge is so primitive to yours. I could list all the weapon names I know of on my fingers and toes(well that's exaggerating but still) ;D

Let me recommend a book to you, Tom... Military Small Arms of the 20th Century. I learned most of what I know from it.

I come from a military family , all the way as far as i can remember i was around weapons , firearms , edge weapons , you name it . Then in the Army i had to learn even more just in case we ran into a weapon in enemy territory and had to use it.

and here I am only having fired a real weapon once in my life. I'll look into getting that book though tw4449, I should do more reading and less forum browsing.

if it made before 1980 by Iver Johnson's Arms it is model 1500 if after - model 600 That's right, by following the original rules. Technically the picture i posted up is the RAI Model 500, but all the guns you named are nearly the exact same gun under different manufacturers/names, so you've got it.

Find the picture of the gun you want and put a link up. Then go into edit and put this on your image link. example:

Interesting... I must ask:
1. Is it a military weapon?
2. Is it from the 20th century?

Well , since no one seems to have a clue of what this weapon is i will answer.
It's a Russian OTs-48K sniper rifle , based on a Mosin Nagant.

Have you seen the Carbine Model? Sorry Adler...I didn't see your post this morning! No, I've never seen a photo of the carbine version, juts one with a holster that doubles as a stock.
