Try this oddball: 12 hours have passed so i get to answer again. It's the Thompson-Ramo-Wooldridge Inc. Low Maintenance Rifle developed in the early '70s it was meant to replace the M16 rifle , but by the time it was ready , all the bugs had been worked out of the M16.

yes they did , it was chambered in 15.5x115 mm , a very powerful round.
