I just called and asked for a refund. tired of waiting don't even care if I get one or not anymore. I can use the money for books for classes in the fall. *The fella on the phone was very courteous and said the refund will take 5 days. I'll let you know next Monday and call them back if needed.

nice because my friend has a full metal m-14 and that this is quite heavy! but im not worried about weight. what i really hope for is that the ROF is good, and not like the CYMA Thompson which has quite a slow ROF, but with the bipod i more than likely will post up and wait to stalk and hunt my enemy lol

Evike.... Why does any one still trust these guys after all of the preorder BS they have put people through over the years? Don't give those guys a cent unless it is in stock. I know guys that still have not received pre ordered RS SVDs over a year ago. They will tell you over the phone and email its on its way, and then push the date back 4 or 5 times. I know that they stock stuff that most US stores won't touch, but IMHO your better off waiting till a HK dealer gets it in stock and has it ready to ship. Evike has a bad habit of posting stuff for sale and preorder that is not available in HK and making you wait till they get it out of HK.

Ya but that fact of the matter of having the ability to own a BAR at half the price of the VFC version is worth all the BS!! Also with the HK company's you have to worry about the Custom's and border control. the cost to ship it from HK would cost nearly and arm and a leg and isnt worth the chance of it being delayed at the border!

Just be sure to cover the basics: Cover trades..... Paint the tips........ and most of all declare full value.( importing a Shoei MP44 and declaring the value at $50 usd is a good way to send up a red flag.) Go with a good shop with a GOOD shipping record. Uncomany,Redwolf,WGC,TMC,Guys and guns, ect. I just imported a RMW RPG7...I would have loved to see the look on the Customs guys face when he looked in the box. As far as the shipping goes, by the time you figure sales tax, and shipping your all most there. US shops charge $40-$50 more than HK shops on guns. For the most part when you get down to it is not more than $20 to $30 more to get what you want when you want it.

I just had MAJOR issues trying to get a Hexagon Ppsh in through Customs here in L.A. They told me when I called them (the actual Agents working the International Shipments here in L.A., CA.) that they are "cracking down" on "painted" airsoft guns coming through as it's in violation of Federal Laws... The guns have to have a "permanent" orange section and the painted barrels aren't cutting it anymore for compliance... I was told NOT to attempt to bring anything in that used paint to try to meet the requirements... The Agents took mercy and allowed my shipment through as I am Retired Law Enforcement on this one only... After what I was put through I am not trying to get anything Internationally again... Too risky... And I too had a good track record for the last three years before buying pieces from Hong Kong mostly, never an issue but it looks like things may be changing... I for one am not chancing luck again... Just my two cents...

Ya exactly how i feel man!! Ill just hold off and purchase from Evike instead of Hong Kong and deal with customs. Your really lucky on this order!! But seriously chinese companies need to realize that the US has a law stating all airsoft guns have to have a orange tip. They should realize that alot of their stuff is shipped to America and just by putting the orange tip on, would cut the hassle and frustration with the customer!! Also dude thanks for your service as a law enforcement personnel. Thanks for all your service to protecting our American communities!!!

Thanks "mash328", I served just under 17 years with the LASD before injuries I received in the line of duty left me with very limited mobility and that requires me using a cane for support... That's why everything I spend money on had to be carefully considered as my resources are now quite fixed and I can't afford getting $300+ on what breaks down as a "toy" getting seized by an overzealous Customs Agent... I wish all of you who still can afford to play "Customs Roulette" all the best of luck in the future...

Customs Roulette better than Evike Roulette.
I live in CA and my stuff comes in through LA and SF. Again I have never had an issue in 10 years and hundreds of orders. I would not recomend importing GBBm4s right now...thats all bad. But the track record of US shops importing specialty guns is not a good one. You can let your money ride for 6 months to a year and then get a refund, while most of the guns get sold out of HK, and never make it over here.

Funny I used to say the same thing about never having an issue but then I did and it royally sucked... I'm willing to wait for something I want and if it doesn't come at least I'm not out any money... If you can afford to take chances with your money, more power to you, I just can't these days... Bottom line is it's just all a matter of personal choices...

ya i agree with that!! Due to elevated threat and concern for terrorist attacks, i would and will not ever trust the customs personnel nowadays!!! So ill just keep waiting, and if it never shows up then im still not out $300 dollars instead of buying one and getting it lost in international travel

I just asked for a refund on my order. The wait of course is frustrating but the most irritating thing is that Evike never, not once, contacted me with an update or report. They said well you have to understand we had almost 200 pre-orders. In this age of e-mail staying in touch with this data base would have taken what? ? 30 minutes of an employees time over the five months since I placed my order? Absolutely rediculous. I'm sure the rifle will eventually come out and I hope it is positively wonderful but the events I really wanted it for have come and gone or will have past before it was expected to hit the ground. Evike has tried my patience and I'll not order from them again. The delays are no doubt not their fault but the failure to keep folks informed is inexcuseable.

The only reason I have not canceled yet is that I have a feeling that IF the gun comes out, there aren't going to be many of them around and I will probably never get a chance to get one again. That being said, I still may. I'm sick of waiting for a toy gun, crap, you only have to wait 10 days for the real thing. I could use that money for lot of fun things this summer and I'm getting very annoyed as well.

geezus... I feel for you guys. I suggest that someone casually point out in their board that Evike is getting a very poor reputation on this board and likely to loose future buisness because of their lack of communications and poor customer service.
If they were aware of the full picture of the mass discontent maybe you will all get better service and the truth from them.

I'm starting to think about canceling my order. There's a lot of things I could do with $270. But I really want a BAR. I'll give them until the end of summer to tell us whats up.

If they are unaware of the level of dicontent they are totally ignorant as every forum is blabbing about about how bad they suck. A fellow on the VietnamAirsoft site who volunteers to assist them tried to cover for them but even he backed off when confronted with the facts about their customer support efforts. (Or lack thereof) He said he had contacted them several times about how upset people were and suggested they be more proactive about keeping folks informed. They chose to ignore him. Apparently too much effort. Amazing 200 orders times 270.00 is $54,000.00 that's a lot of capital. One would think you'd want to hang onto as many of these sales as you could.

Well if you cancel your order that's another $270 you could put towards buying my VFC BAR and all 16 magazines for it.
