Hey sarge, nice M1! I think you did an excellent job on it, as well as your kit! I agree completely with Click, I like setup too. Hope to see some more detailed pics of the Garand, it looks sweet!

Tuck your laces in, get some different rope for that hobo roll, looks like its a nylon rope. A Suggestion for your belt setup,a personal comfort issue with me, and just what you see more, you should probably move either your shovel or canteen to the opposite side, so it evens out the weight more, also put your carlisle pouch up front so you can move the canteen or shovel to the other side. Other than that looks alright. A Haversack and bayonet should complete it, along with personal items. Nice Job. -Nick

I have the haversack and all that but the 3rd didn't wear them at the landings. I wear the bandage pouch in the back because all the guys in the 3rd did that from the pictures I've seen. Yes I need to get my belt evened out. One reason it looked bad is because the 36 suspenders weren't on right. I also have limited places to put my web gear as two grommets are missing on my cart belt. Thanks for the comments. tharock ,I will post some pictures of my Garand I already have them saved on photobucket.

sgttom , nice set up , but you do need the haversack , that's where you carry your personal itms , and also more K-rats , the troops going into the beaches for Operation Anvil / Dragoon where expecting a heavy German resistance and they carried as much gear ammo and equipment as they could , the 45th and 3rd had their haversacks , specially the first waves.

Hmmm I am not sure I have yet to see pictures of them with Haversacks. It seems they all carried bed rolls which holded K rats and other personal items. I will look into it more though.

There are photos that show 3rd ID soldiers boarding the ships before the invasion , they are all wearing haversacks or pack as they line up to board the sips , also there are photos of the landings themselves and 3rd ID troopers have their packs on.

Thanks. Next time I'll make a pose that fits the image and make myself a little darker so it will blend in better.

you wont have to spend it with me, make sure your lifebelt inflates, cause we'll boot your butt out in the middle of the lake we shall truly define the mafioso saying "swimming with the fishes" Yeah Kyle hopefully we'll see you out there, always good to have another trooper, we will have a good time, as long as we don't run into the same trouble we did in the "ghetto" last year -Nick

Thanks, it had been raining for the first time in months and I wanted to take advantage of it, hence no gun. (The clouds cleared up when I started taking pics)

Get a haircut, loose the haversack for your parachute infantry impression. I can't tell what the weapon is? (looks like a BAR?) If so get a belt for it.

hairy apple, looking good! What kind of Carbine do you have? Is it perhaps the new one by Shoot in Scoot? The only suggestion I have for you is to get a wool shirt.
collisi0n, Nice kit, the mud and rain make it look even better.
Hey Toboggan! Nice pictures. Since you have an M14 I think a Cartridge belt would be better then a pistol belt. Cut that hair lol. What kind of M41 Jacket do you have, ATF? Just wondering.
