Looking to buy Marushin brand 6mm CO2 M1 Carbine magazines if anyone has any that they want to part with. Not interested in King Arms or the Springfield Armory/Pyramyd Air versions.

I bought two magazines for my Marushin 6mm M1 Carbine and they perform poorly compared to the Marushin magazine that came with mine. I have no idea if it is the screw on the bottom of the mag, the seal, or user error but out of two full day games that I ran, with all 3 mags, the SA/PA Mags would empty their CO2 immediately after screwing in the canister or after, at most, 5 shots. I ran around using the Marushin mag and a speed loader for both games and went through 15+ CO2 cartridges on the SA/PA mags trying to get them to work.

Turns out that Springfield Armory/Pyramyd Air did make an 6mm airsoft M1 carbine alongside their air rifle. I purchased two of the mags for it and tried them with my Marusihin 6mm M1 Carbine, both are terrible. They are compatible with the Marushin 6mm M1 Carbine, but they require either some sanding on the "hooks" of the magazine along it's side, or a nice slap, for the magazine catch to grab the mag. With that being said, and maybe mine are lemons, but either the screw on the bottom of the magazine, or the magazine seals, are terrible. I believe it to be the screw. The screw seems to be a clone of the type on King Arms M1 magazines and must be tightened a lot just to break the seal of the CO2 canister (a lot tighter than the actual Marushin mag). Out of the two full day games I played with all 3 mags, so far 95% of the time the SA/PA magazines must be tightened so tight (again just to break the seal of the CO2 canister) that it appears to cause the canister to leak air, possibly falling out of place inside the CO2 chamber of the magazine. If you try to correct the mag by tightening it even one half rotation or full rotation forward, all of it's remaining CO2 will expel out the barrel immediately or after less than 5 shots.

I saw some of your restaining pics in another thread, not all the pics would load and they only loaded on mobile for some reason, regardless the rifles look 100 times better. Would you mind reposting those photos here of your sanding and restaining process? I would be really interested in seeing how you fixed the roundness of the A&K stock.

I was interested in getting an M1 Garand this winter not just for WWII games but for regular airsoft skirmishes as well. Based on what I've seen doing some research here more people on the forum seem to have ICS Garands and are very satisfied with them despite the over-sizing and other cosmetic issues like the buttplate and gas assembly.
I've heard that the ICS M1 right out of the box is excellent: very accurate, very durable and generally a very reliable weapon without upgrading to the point that some members say it is their favorite airsoft weapon.
I've also heard the A&K M1 is a very accurate weapon weapon but does have it's share of cosmetic issues particularly around the grip of the stock. I've also read that it does have issues with the magazines not loading to their max capacity and with the weapon not firing at all or jamming when using Semi-Automatic.
So for those that have them, what do you think? If you could only buy one which would you get? Which one do you believe to be more skirmishable?

Was just wondering if anyone knew of a retailer or site still stocking Marushin M1 Carbine CO2 magazines, or King Arms CO2 magazines, which I've heard are also compatible. The only sites I've found stocking mags are SWIT Airsoft (https://www.switairsoft.com/product-page/king-arms-m1-carbine-magazine) and OSHOOT.ca (https://www.oshoot.ca/en/airsoft-magazines-clips/9637-springfield-armory-m1-carbine-6mm-co2-airsoft-magazine-15-rds.html).
Both sites I have never heard of or bought from before. I've also heard the Springfield M1 Carbine was a metal BB rifle, will the mags still work with 6mm plastic BBs?

I have a question about the game this Saturday: Are we to pay at the field where we park or do we have to go to the store? Payment will be $35 at the field.

Update: The timetables have changed once more, the event will start at 10AM. Just want clarification on this, We should be at the field by 10AM, but the store is not gonna be open until around 11AM? I know it's only 5 minutes away, but it's still counter productive. If we all have to go to the store to pay around 11AM, we should all be squared away before then. If not, I can see this thing dragging past noon until we actually start. If Jolly Green plans on coming to the field later, perhaps we can pay him right there, at least those who plan on paying cash. Just a thought. Either way, I'll be there by 10AM. Migs The store should be open at 10AM as well.

Update: It's official: If you intend on loaning a weapon from someone you should buy BBs (.20s and or .25s). This way we can distribute ammo amongst all who loan weapons, it's the least you can do.

I'd say they should purchase a bag of BBs for themselves, though I will be buying extra bags of .25s for the guys I'm bringing just in case.

Drac and Matt-- I already have a form that will cover everything: Weapons, batteries, uniforms, gear, and will be able to record exactly what people are signing out and who it belongs to. I will be bringing these to the event. Much better, I think, to have a "one stop shop" and a single format for everyone who is borrowing or renting anything, from a single magazine to a full kit. It will be much easier to keep track of that way: One clipboard at the QM tent and we're all good. That's right, I forgot. Can't wait to see you guys there!

I'll be getting it contact with Jolly to see if we can start the event at 10AM, I'll get back to you guys on that.
Also, please, if you haven't already, send in the player info sheet forums to Evan.
I'll also let it be known now, when we do arrive at the field, our camping/tent area will be on the right side of the parking lot once you enter. Parking will be on the left side of the lot.

For the peace of mind for the guys loaning out kit and weapons, is there going to be some sort of waiver or form they have to fill out to make them accountable for it? I don't mind battlefield wear, tears and breakage, I'm just worried about equipping someone and having him/her just walk off the field with all the loaned out stuff. We can't really keep eyes on every single player, you know? We don't have an official sheet at the moment, however, I will definitely be taking down names (signatures even) of everyone who lends and borrows something. We'll probably have a collection point, after we set up, where we all meet together and decide who's lending what and who wears what. At least this way too there are eyewitnesses. Also, I will be bringing my camera, and I believe Inster will be as well, so there will be some photo documentation if need be. I definitely understand your concern though, and if needed I will make a sheet.

The game will start, most likely, at 12:00PM. The event itself will start at 11AM.
To elaborate I'd like for everyone to be here for 11AM, this way we can set up our tents and other gear. Then, after chronoing, I'd like to do a weapon's demonstration, in which we teach everyone in a school circle fashion, how to operate each firearm. This will be especially helpful for the newcomers. From there on, the game's objectives will be briefed to everyone. After these three objectives are accomplished, it's game on. What I meant by, "try being here by the previous 1PM deadline", is that if you can't make it as early as 11AM, still try to be here as soon as possible. I hope that clears that up a bit.

Update: The event's timetable has changed. The event will start at 11AM Saturday, this way we can get everything set up early and still have a lot of time to play. I hope to see you all there! If you can't make it as early as 11AM, please try to make the previous timetable of 1PM or earlier.
Glad to hear that we can get in a solid 4 hours before the other group shows. I think a possible scenario could be a "Carentan" one. We can designate the Village as Carentan and use it as mostly an attack and defend type scenario. What also may be a good idea is that once 3PM approaches, we can take a chow break and maybe do a meet and greet with the new arrivals of the OPSAT. Why not take the opportunity to chat it up with some new players that may show an interest. One question, if we want to start at 11AM, what time should we be at the field for muster (10am?) and where do we pay, (the store?) Thanks Evan, Migs You'd pay at the store first, which may be opening right at or a little bit before 11AM. So, with that knowledge, I'd say we should be at the field by, or a little bit past, 11AM. The store itself is only 5-10 mins away from the field. I also like your Carentan idea, I'll definitely consider it.

Another update: Price reduction; $40 if you play both days, $25 for 1 day. Also, we may be starting a bit earlier, but that is yet to be determined. Also, the OPSAT may be quarantined to a certain part of the field to let us have our fun, where and if this will happen is currently in the works. I'll keep you guys posted! If the OPSAT guys are restricted to a specific area of the field, that would be ideal. May want to check with Jolly Green on how he intends and what he has in mind to do this. What we should also be working on is game scenarios for us. If we have a idea as to what we want to do, then Jolly can adjust to where we can play and where they can play. Perhaps a good idea could be that they take the firebase area all the way to the village (but not including the village) and we take from the Village out. Either way, we need to have a plan instead of just winging it once we get there. Migs Just finished talking with Jolly on the subject, he said that we could potentially have the wooded areas behind the village, and the village itself, all to ourselves if the OPSAT doesn't go through, and if not enough guys show up. We'll have to play it by ear. What is confirmed, as of right now, is that we have the whole field from 11AM until 3PM, which is when the OPSAT starts. Now we must discuss gametypes, please guys post some suggestions down below!
Glad to see you can make it Jerry!

I also agree that the village onwards will probably be best for this event as that's the most WWII esque GZA can get. Especially with all the forests and streams.

Update: Unfortunately the WWII event will not be a completely WWII event. As it turns out there was miscommunication between the field owners at GZA, and there will be an OP running both days. Also, the price is now no longer $25 for both days, but $25 for each day. This totals $50 for those who plan on staying both days. This however, may be dropped to a lower cost, we are talking with the field owners at the moment, and we will keep you updated. Regardless I still think this will be a great day for all us WWII guys to game together and to raise interest in the hobby for future endeavors. I hope to still see you all there!
