fusilier, i respect your political views, and will keep mine to myself, sorry Why, are YOU a Communist?? He is not but I think what oberst42 is refering to is the fact that this is now an international website viewed by many including the Chinese as well as Vietnamese so it may be best to keep the political views light hearted. I know your statement was a joke and very light hearted but remember we want the Chinese manufacturer's working with us and we have encouraged them to read our views. To all, China today is not the China from the 1970's or 80's, the Chinese people have much more libertys and freedom of expression than ever before including travel and education in the West. I also see lots of comments about the Chinese goverment corruption and implications about the backward nature of the culture. The Chinese Goverment has been going to great lengths to arrest and jail officials who have been found guilty of doing so. Remember, the Chinese have put men in space, they have atomic weapons and every appliance in your home was made or parts of it were made in China. They make modern models of Volkswagons, Jeeps, Buicks and other well known brands of automobiles. Our Repro stuff, Airsoft guns and parts and etc. comes from China. They too have problems just like us, AIDS, terrorism, crime, cancer, drunk drivers, drug abuse and etc. They also have families and friends, take vacations, and like us have hobbies. Point is, people are people and I too think politics should be left elsewhere. I have been in Asia for over seven years and have visited about every Asian county there is including China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia...on and on. People are all the same no matter where I go.

Folks.
The Chinese manufacturers have done more to expand the popularity of airsoft than any group in the past 10 years. Their offerings are expansive, affordable and high quality. They are showing increased creativity and flexibility and have proven to be very receptive to input and ideas relative to Japan.
Why in the world would some of you feel compelled to slam them?
This is an airsoft site. This particular thread is on the MP44 and MG 42 There are strict warnings about keeping your political points of view and comments to yourselves. Think about your posts and who (hopefully) might be reading them. Consider a civil tone when commenting about others and keep this Forum mature, enjoyable for all and productive.
RANT OVER now stick to the subjects at hand.

I have no idea what is going on with the legal battles. I'll just sit back and wait like everyone else.
Based however on what I'm understanding lately is a lot was mis-interpreted and expanded rumors in the translations such as: 1. "Someone was makeing real guns"; What I think they meant was someone could make real guns, that is the concern 2. "The Owner is sent to jail for 10 years"; What I think was meant was, anyone who makes real guns could get 10 years in jail.
If this is true and nobody really broke the law making guns then the chance of getting the factories up a running sooner than later looks better. I'm just speculating here, they still could be true

looks like quite the photo Op. Definitely making a show of their bust. (no pun intended)
Yikes! This is definitely a mess. After CYMA was shut down for a while I had real challenges getting the Cyma 032 base rifles which I use for my Garands. When they finally got production back up and again started shipments I noticed a lot of tiny changes in the product. They clearly retooled as the differences were definitely there in side by side comparisons. (In some ways better actually)
What a shame this has to go on. Hopefully it will be brief and minimally disruptive but I fear that won't be the case.

When I see start to see AMG MP40's and MP44's sell for the price of a Shoei then I know it's deep doo doo for China (fortunatly, it hasn't happened yet, still prices are the same in HK). Also, I've noticed that all China Airsoft manufacturers have stop posting their stuff on the buisness trade sites... I toured Mong Kok (hong kong) gun shops yesterday, how depressing. crap... Don't believe me? here's an example, Check this out: www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1_34www.uncompany.com/pageproduct.asp?L3catid=204

How sad to see all these good guns destroyed like that.
On a side note it does seem a bit fun to destroy things with a steamroller.

What are they destroying in the 3rd picture? This team of customs agents seem to be crushing the guns in the boxes.

the only way airsoft will recover is if the US manufactures airsoft guns, luckly if that happens good shipping, helps the eco, and nothing like this will happen.
I say that we all donate money to start an airfsoft manufacturer here in the US, first tool it to make M1 Garands, then BARs, and whatever is in high demand next.

UPDATE:
Quote from Hong Kong Retailer (onThe biggest China AEG wholesellers worldwide):
Retailer: "Look at the alphabet, Those companies who start with A,B,C, are screwed, especially "A", it appears though that two (not A brands) will start up again very shortly, maybe in the next two weeks"
kalbs: "Do you mean AGM and A&K are screwed?" Retailer: " Do they start with and A? kalbs: "What about CYMA" Retailer: "Maybe but not looking good now" kalbs: " What a shame... MP40, MP44, M1A1.. and what about the MG42?" Retailer: If the AEG's are sellers then there may be a chance the molds will be taken up by one of the others... not sure. kalbs: "When will you know?" Retailer: " May know in a few weeks but looks like at least two will reopen shortly" kalbs: JG, D-Boys and etc? Retailer: "They don't start with an A... (wink)"
I walked away sadly knowing that the MG42 will be just a dream.... crap. Oh well,... back to working on the MP28II
