The full auto ideal is what everyone looks at too. lol. thats why everyone runs around with thompson, hell one of my friends has 3 of them, and was looking to get another. Now im proud of him, hes getting one of 2nd bats m1's.
I think if cyma came out with m1's that would be amazing. You would see the more widespread weapons, which in turn gives you more realism. Realism is what a ton of people look at too. if they go to an event and they're getting hosed by thompsons and mp40s and 44's they're more then likely not to come back.
but the new 44 does look sick already.

Hong Kong Toy & Game Show UPDATE! I met with the manufacturers and suppliers for various Airsoft companies today. It took quite a while to get around the 2000 plus displays on 3 levels but managed to get some interesting news on what's new. The most interesting discussion was with the Director of Ying Yi Toys Industrial Ltd. (Well Fire). Drum Roll please...... Yes, the MP44 will be released this FEBUARY!!!! They did not have a model on site but asked that she forward any information to me via email. They also said there seems to be a healthy amount of interest for it. If you want it I suggest you buy it when it hits the market as many will end up in the EU. YYTI is also quite aware of the demand for the MG42 but it is my understanding from the discussion it may be later 2009 if it is released. I also suggested some other models such as the MG34 and PPsH41. She didn't bite. As a matter of fact she stated that the US sales of WW2 guns is not very good. I believe this based on the amount of new AK's and M4 models coming out this year. Other items but not WW2 related that may be of interest include the King Arms Galils and a GBB blowback M4's. A&K's new M60VN and M60A3 models and the AEG blowback AK's that will be released this 2009. For fun I'm posting a brochure given to me by YYTI of the new releases... can anyone tell me what model of gun is the last one? The good news is that is will only be sold in the US, the bad news is that it will be sold in the US.... What is it? I call it the "Lewis-Tommy"

Interesting. Of course the reason sales of WW2 weapons is so weak is they typically are gas blowback or use ejecting shells and hence aren't skimishable!!!! I suspect they sell plenty of the CYMA Thompsons.
Thnaks for giving a plug directly to the source that we would all benefit from if they took action.

WWII guns not selling well? I can't go to a game anywhere without seeing at least one MP40. Most of the time the guy has no clue what it is, but he thought it looked cool. ;D The other WWII guns they are marketing are either useless or overpriced. Anyhow......The gun at the bottom of the page is an 'American Arms 180'. They were first made back in the early 1980's and it is a fully automatic, .22 rimfire sub-machine gun. targeted mostly at the police market, it never really caught on. The ROF is insane on the real steel version, and they can be seen at machine gun shoots from time to time.

I also said that I could support the demand of WW2 guns by emailing her links to websites with wishes. Even our filipino airsoft brothers are excited by the MP44 release. Do you guys have any suggested links to support my claim for the demand? For crying out loud the PPsH was used by the Chinese and elsewhere for years after WW2... why can't we get an airsoft version of that too? I'm pushing hard guys.

Just point her to this board and to www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/index.phpI think that would show her the demand. Point how easily an M1 would be to make from an M14. It could be another model produced with little r&d time and money involved. Ask for a decent Kar 98k that doesn't use shells. Basically explain that any common WW2 gun that is skirmishable and reliable in AEG or springers with out shell ejecting would sell if it available.

Even if WWII sales are not good in the US, I'm sure a PPSH would still sell like hotcakes in Russia and Europe. Possibly Asia, although it would take a lot of courage for someone to do a Communist load out in a place like Japan or South Korea. I could always do a North Korean/Chinese impersonation along side an IJA one

I'm finding out today. I may be able to do a group whole sale purchase. I'm also questioning if spare Mags will be available when it's released.

Also, do you know what stores it will be released to? So if the group order falls through i can sit at my computer obsessively pushing the refresh starting February first ;D

I’m going to have to pick up one of these STG-44’s as well. As far as my feeling about realism verses game play… I’m mixed. The sport needs more guns that can be used in a scrimmage and at a fair price. I welcome this addition.
For us here in NY. The Germans typically have more Karabiner 98’s than they do automatics; while the Americans have Thompsons with the occasional BAR, M1 Grand Or M1 carbine. I think I saw a grease gun once too.
Anyway… the additional firepower over the MP-40, which does not compare to the TM Thompson in my opinion having owned both, is welcomed. Especially since the reliance on the MG-42, which typically always stops working in scrimmages, often loses us battle after battle after battle. I realize our situation is probably a little unique, having a majority of people fielding K98’s and all, and nor do I wish for that to change. But the addition of one or two guys with assault guns is very welcome!
Now if only a decent affordable M1 grand could be made…

I agree with you on that one GR! I'm purchasing it as well. I wanted an MP40 and still will get one, but down here in the southeast events that I have been to, everyone has M-14's, Thompsons. As for the Axis, M-14's, AK's and MP40's. The accational K98. So I wanted it just cause its different than the rest. But that will sortly change I'm sure when it hits. Also there might be alot more people like "deacon" up there and want a German Imp. Being since I have an SS imp also, that will be good to see more Jerry!

I could always do a North Korean/Chinese impersonation along side an IJA one All the old CoD1 and CoD2 players would LOVE a PPSh. Not only would it work for a Russian impression, Germans picked em up, the Chinese, the Koreans, and even the NLF used them in Vietnam.
