It may be ACM, but if that thing is steel then it is not going to be cheap. The butt stock already looks like real wood.

You get what you pay for generally. If it shoots as nice as it looks they will sell a bunch of them. But they will probably screw up somewhere. Prediction - they'll use a belt fed cartridge system with individual bbs lodged in the brass and it will be an MG34 Marushin K98/D-Boys K98. Ha!

Haha, at 2 bucks per round, that might get quite expensive. With all of the rumors coming out, maybe at least one will be true?

Im not so sure that this one is really a rumor, the company making it has actually made an official claim to it. I'm guessing that they're testing the waters to see if they get a big enough reaction to even bother continuing.

according to: www.airsoft-news.eu/news.php via RSOV relase date isslated as end of Sept and priced at approx $700. might be a good idea if anyone who is interested registers on the RSOV forum and declares their interest as the manufacturer is using the thread on RSOV to gauge the demand. www.rsov.com/forum/showthread.php?t=276At the moment the thread is full of posts by idiots just asking for PKM's

Damnit, I think im better off waiting for the AGM MG-42 then. Although, if they make that out of steel and wood too..... DAMNIT!

700 would be WAY cheap, the one in the picture is 100% cnc milled, technically a 34 should be more expensive to produce than an mg42. Im guessing atleast 1300, and then the mag would have to be around 200 too.
That scope is utter crap, I wouldnt want it at games, Just use your Iron sights and look right.

I dig the scope even though it's really inaccurate. I'd hate to see every German with a K98 with one of those scopes. If the MG turns out to be 700.00USD I'll buy it..probally around xmas for me, 1300.00 is to high for me, I'd get a BAR before that in that case.

The Scope is just an off-the shelf 2x20 pistol scope!
I think the Mg34 in the photos is a pre-production prototype. I would expect the production model to be mainly cast metal.
The price seems possible, who would have thought you could get a M249 minimi for less than $300 but you can!
We can but hope.

Now that you got me thinking of that.... How much is this thing going to weigh? And were Mg-34's used on motorcycles? I know that the MG-34's were primarily used on vehicles while the MG-42 was primarily carried by infantry, but I don't remember which the motorcycles were mainly equipped with. I bet it would be cool, and effective, to drive around in a motorcycle with an MG-34 in the side cart.

they are awesome guns, Huge trigger that works with winter gloves, has semi auto (mg42 didnt), the milled construction makes it handle overheating betterthan the 42, on the march the Round barrel sleeve digs into the shoulder less than the square mg 42 barrel jacket, viet cong used em in the Nam Its also a star wars gun -Gordak

Mg42 is way easier to carry on shoulder. The round barral cover digg into shoulder no matter what angle. It's a tad more heavy, and more unbalanced. Changing barrel is a nightmare compared to the 42. The barrel protection sleeves are also longer and less mannageable. And the 42 system is much more reliable in harsh conditions. But I like them both really

So, this raises the issue of when this does eventually come out, who in the WW2AA is going to be the Guinea Pig to buy it, test it, and give it a pass/fail grade?!? It would be a real bummer if 5-10 of us bought one of these and they turned out to be a total POS. Then again, with all the custom modder talent on this board, I'm sure if that happened, we'd have 5-10 different variations of improved MG-34s.

If it is reasonably priced, I may pick one up... then again, my idea of reasonable price is very different from some others here

The company producing the MG34 is Viva, I've never heard of them. Does anyone know of more details about Viva?

You being in HK should get right on this Magnum PI. I'm trying but my Ferrari ran out of gas and TC's chopper isn't flying it's a China based company but that's all I know. Says nothing about who they are in English or Chinese www.vivaarms.com/
