This is just a short review as I have not had more than just a couple day's to play with this weapon.
First impressions:
The overall look and feel of this gun is great, I am especially happy with the quality of the metal body, which is very rigid for the most part.
The stock wobbles slightly from side to side, but no more than most M4 or MP5 stocks, and it is very comfortable with the way it feels looking down the sight. The fake wood is some of the best I've seen and it is very easy to take off and on for the battery, just pull the pin out, insert the battery, and stick it back on.
The Battery it comes with, is an 8.4v NiMH battery, which appears to be fairly good quality.
The magazine is also well built, although there was an issue at first when it didn't quite seat high enough in the magwell to feed properly, but this was easily amended by bending down the part the metal tab so it fit tighter into place. It is a very long magazine, more so than AK mags, to the point where it might be awkward to use in the prone position. I'll have more to say about that once I've used it in a skirmish. It holds aprox. 500 rounds, and comes with one of those handy keys to wind it, which is much faster and easier than standard winding. Overall I'm not a fan of hi-caps, but this one will definitely do until mid-caps are available.
The sights are good, but nothing special, they're very similar to the standard AK sights, which were probably copied after the real STG anyway.
Although it is slightly on the heavy side, in comparison to other primary weapons, the balance is very good and it's really not cumbersome at all. It is only slightly longer than my M4A1, and although it isn't the most maneuverable gun, I would say it's suitable for fairly thick woodland AO's.
The gearbox is a version 2, and it has an M16 style hop-up. We've had minor difficulty disassembling it, but I'll report more on that soon.
I've heard about some of these guns having really bad grouping, so I just set up a quick test from 10 yards away. On semi it grouped about 1.5" height wise, and 1" wide, on full-auto it was about 1.5" by 1.5". I'd like to do a longer distance test shortly, but from that I don't think it's going to be much of an issue.
I'll report more once I've had time to take it apart and use it in a game.
Edit: There seems to be an issue getting my pictures up, I'll fix this ASAP
