Max, when can I pick one up off the shelves in HK? The ppsh used MP40 mags? Yes Kalbs , the Germans captured so many of them that they where used by them and even given its own designation , PPSH-41s converted to fire the 9x19mm Parabellum rounds where known as the MP41(r) ,, they where converted by changing the barrel and an adapter was made to use the MP40 magazine , unconverted PPSH-41's firing the 7.62x25mm rounds where called MP717(r) , the Germans even printed manuals for the PPSH-41.

I believe you but are there any real ww2 photos of this in action? I've only seen the russian sticks and drums in photos used by the Germans. How common was this smg conversion?

I've read a number of stories of US troops finding PPSHs in France... so there must have been a few of them out there being used by the Germans.

I guess so, but I'd rather see ppsh sticks as an accessory than MP40 stick coversions. I've just never seen any photos of the MP41(r) in real ww2 photos.

i agree with you kalbs, the ppsh stick magazine would be cooler than the mp40 mag...

Yeah, but there are no PPSH magazines on the market and there are lots of mp40 magazines out there and they are cheap!

If hexagin can get them out before Chinese New Year they will have a nice jump on everyone as virtually all the new releases are planned for after the new year holiday break. This gun will be great for my VC impression.

I tried to go to Gunner Airsoft shop to see this AEG but to my dismay the shop is no longer there. I'm not sure how or where to buy this PPsH-41 model now. Their website still shows the same address but nothing there but a hairdressed and some other new-age or something shop. I would be a bit cautious about buying online until Maxim tells us what is going on. I sent an email to Gunner, let's how they reply.

Gunners web site today announced that the Hexagon PPSH is currently available for immediate shipment but in limited quantities. The HK price is 295.00 USD with FREE Shipping! they said you could expect to receive it within 5 to 7 days of your order. www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/index.php?language=en

$295 shipped is a great deal. Too bad you can't add the item to your cart and he claims that email is a bad way to get a hold of him. Am I supposed to call Hong Kong to order the gun? Seems a bit fishy to me.

I've had numerous great experiences with Gunner Airsoft however they are slow to return e-mail inquiries regarding purchases which is usually sort of a hassle in that normally I await specific shipping cost information which traditionally delays placing and order. In this case I would guess just place it in your shopping cart and pay for the item. I suspect that if one wants to get in on the initial order they probably will have to hurry. I doubt he has very many of them.

I'll keep trying to call but remember their shop is no longer there. It must all be net sales now. Max said Guns & Guys will be selling them too.
BTW... on their web page they say all sold out already

I bet you get your PPsH before I do and I'm in Hong Kong. A really screwy system these guys have. I hope you get it soon so we can get a review BTW, there is a review here: www.recon-rag.com/

I was planning on getting either the AGM, or Hexagon too,but no concrete word on either of them yet. I saw the AGM advertised in Airsoft International as being available in GB,but thats all I've seen.

I have a pre-order in with UNCompany for the ARES. I'd love to check out the Hexagon too if I could find the darn thing here. Do you guys still need that Orange barrel tip? I noticed the whole front end is painted in the pictures. I assume that will be the first thing to go bye bye.

In the US in order to get through Customs a orange barrel is required for any replica firearm Once here it is strictly up to local regs with most states and locations not requiring them to remain in place. I am not into RUSSIAN weapons so hence have not orderd the PPSH although I ultimately will for a VC, NVA impression It will be interesting when ultimately thrid party comparisons of the asorted offerings come out and perhaps we get a chance to actually hold and inspect them in person. All three variants look quite impressive and appear to be well done.

That would be great Adler but let me say don't buy your new Bren Carrier from Gunner. The guy has replied several times via email telling me when to call but still never picks up. (Yes, I've checked the number he gave me to make sure I dial correctly).
If Max is watching this thread... kick you cousin in the A$$ for me.

Finally got a hold of Gunner. They arrive for local sales in two weeks. What am I going to do with two PPsH's? I have an ARES and the Hexagon ordered now.
