I ordered the parts over 2 weeks ago from Airsoft megastore and they finally came today Anyway I tried out the dboys kar98k before I took it apart. First that bolt was harder to push back than any other airsoft gun I've ever used. Then the bolt wouldn't lock, and it flew back again and left a huge gash down my thumb, and there was blood dripping down my arm I'm going to have fun taking this peice of cr*p apart. they covered it in oil or something, my hand was black after taking out the bolt. And after 10 tries of trying to get the shells to eject, not once did it actually work. The hop up is broke aswell either that or it makes no difference at all. Anyway were I'm a bit stuck on the conversion, after spending an hour or two trying to find out how to remove the outer barrel I realised it just turns right out lol. But how am I going to get the hopup and the inner barrel out? On most pictures I saw it's just the inner barrel so I thought it slides right off or something. Right now all I've done was take the part with the bolt and trigger assembly and remove the barrel from it. So I'm stuck on getting the outer barrel out (if I'm doing that wrong please tell me)

What gun are you using for the conversion? VSR 10 clone or Bar 10? Now the way I've seen some of these conversions done due to the fact that you need the vsr 10 reciever all the way to the magazine catch most people take all the parts off the barrel ( front/rear sights etc.) and use a piece of pipe close to the original diameter. Usualy the vsr reciever stops right past the wood of the Upper handguard.

To get the hop up and inner barrel out of the VSR clone, you have to unscrew the magazine guide block underneath. Then you can slide the whole hop-up+inner barrel assembly out of the outer barrel.

Ok I had to hit it with a hammer put I got the hopup and inner barrel out in one piece. The next thing to do would be finally disassembling the Kar98k. I'm actually surprised I made it this far ;D So one of my friends came over today we had a game in my backyard, at around 15 feet I got shot in the hand with it and the bb was partially stuck in my hand was just about to ask aren't you a bit close... Right now there is a red circle above my vein and it looks like I have lime diesease or something lol. The worst part is it punctured that vein, so part of my hand was purple

You will need to hammer out the pins holding the receiver and outer barrel together.

There is a small allen screw near the front sight (bottom site of the barrel) unscrew that and make sure that you unscrewed the one at the back end of the barrel and you should be able to take out the inner barrel.

Thanks I was stuck on that forever ;D All I have left is the magazine well but I still have no clue what to do about the sights.

For the Kar98 rear sights you need to cut out the sight box, sand it down to shape, and glue it on with epoxy. It a lot of work.
When taking stuff apart just be sure to remove all the pins and screws. It really isn't that hard.

Is that rifle your refurring to have readily available upgrade parts? FPS doesn't mean a whole lot. I've got the JG BAR-10 firing over 500fps with some simple home modifications.

I dont think it has upgrade parts on average with .30 it shoots 524. I know how to make a bar10 shoot close to 600 but that would cost way to much money. What do you mean by home modifications?

Upgrade parts incase something breaks. By home modifications I mean stuff you can do for free at home.

By the way I saw the M24 sears were compatible with Marui sears. I am unsure the cylinder and piston area though.
All I did was cut the airbreak, put some Teflon tape in the hop up area, put in a new piston O-ring, and oiled it up nicely. It will shoot through the top part of a coke can. According to the poor mans chronograph records that is between 510-540fps.

Alright. Just keep in mind the high FPS out of the box doesn't guarantee it will be durable. Good luck anyways.
