Just a little note. I've been posting under the name pvtsnafu for a while now. I've decided to reinvent myself as "volkssturm", being an old guy who'd have to lie about his age to even get into the Volkssturm ;D ;D >> In that case,a good late war Volksgrenadier impression would be perfect! I'm considering that.

Just realized I never formally introduced myself so here it goes. Names Brandon Palladino but in modern airsoft I go by Rapture. Im 21 and Im a senior in college up here in good old Massachusetts. Ive been playing airsoft for just about 6 years now and did German reenacting for 3 years as well with the 3rd Panzergrenadiers. The other weekend was my first ww2 airsoft game and it caused me to get that reenacting fever back so I am working on putting together an airborne kit but I have yet to decide whether to do 82nd or 101st. Look forward to playing with all of you in the coming months.

I've been here for a bit, but never introduced myself. I am Joey Meece, and live in KY. I represent the 29th marines, and own a kjw 1911 and a CYMA M1928 for my weapons basis. I have a complete Marine loadout from ATF and other surplus stores. I've been airsofting for three years now, and don't plan on stopping any time soon. I do WWII airsoft, due to the simple fact that almost EVERYBODY has a modern airsofting theme, as of I like to be different, and plus I love WWII history, weapons, gear, etc. PM me if you want to join my group here in KY.

Hello fellas, name's newcomer, and i live the socal area. I just recently signed up here after lurking for a while, and am currently planning a early to mid war US infantry impression, the unit and regiment are still unknown as of now, I'll most likely keep it generic untill i find a squad.
I was always bored by the modern airsoft theme, and always had a love for anything historical, particularly WWII military history. I figured that i mightaswell combine the love of airsofting and history.
I think that covers most of it, its one of the first times ive ever joined or posted on a message board, so forgive me if i forgot anything.

I might not be in the right to say welcome, because of a lack of time here, but WELCOME, and nice to see a new member. The more WWII airsofters the better I always say!

Bob Gurkin...North Carolina Weapons....K 98, M14, Thompson Sub, 2 1903 A3 Springfields, and about 200 sets of capguns No impressions. I just like WW11 part of history. Used to buy sell and trade, but stopped that some years ago. I like to tinker and am in the process of building a Mosine Nagant. My next project will be a 1903 A3 Springfield.

Anthony A. Long Island New York Hello! I just saw this thread now, I've been here on WW2AA for a few months now and I love it! I am mainly going to do a Soviet Russian Impression! Working on getting a PPSh-41, I currently own a Thompson and a whole US Vietnam war impression. I was only a vietnam collector and stayed away from WW2 because it seemed expensive, but it wasnt as bad as I thought! I always had a huge interest in WW2 and cant wait to go to my first game! Im doing soviets because the US and German dont appeal to me that much and the ruskies are cheaper too! And plus I have always found russian history very interesting! Im 17 years old and going to college next year. So thats my little rant! haha

**Moved it from the wrong section** Howdy all. I joined the forum back in '07 but life events knocked WWII off the radar but now I'm checking it out again. Some background on me: -SE Wisconsin resident, married w/kid and job (that will affect a lot) who also has on-call. -Prior USMC. -Active airsofter ("Razor" on WAA boards). Familiar with 400fps limit, full seal, midcaps, etc.
I'm primarily interested in US, probably Army as I don't see much USMC action happening, probably do leg infantry. My preference would be a fictional/ghost unit (like 109th Inf) vs real, and prefer non-specialized (airborne, ranger) since I'm not comfortable wearing tabs I didn't earn. I'm open to options, just putting out some first picks in case they are there. I'm thinking KA thompson for availability and dual-use (makes easier to explain to wife); a Garand or BAR would be nice but not an option when the gear & uniform is factored in. I could invest some in an Eastern front partisan look also (MP40, ppsh, k98) for those games but I had too much trouble finding modern Sov gear that fit to go the full monty, or Ivan in this case.
So with that, how often do regional people (MN, WI, IL, IN, MI) get together? Any special rules/regs in play that I should know about (gear, guns, activity)? Anything to avoid or what should I "must see"? Is everyone in a specific unit to go to events or is it handled like "Americans on this side, Axis on this side". I saw something once about color-coded events and understand that also.
Hopefully that's enough to get some activity. It may take a bit to get gear togther but I plan on getting most of it in one shot. I've seen WWIIimpressions and whatpriceglory sites.

Hi guys, I live in Chicago and have never done any re-enacting or airsoft before but I am eager to try it. I love collecting militaria and started learning about this while looking for pieces to display along with my ww2 relics. I was thinking about getting a Kar98 or an mp40 to start with and perhaps build a collection from there if airsoft turns out to be something I have the time to really commit to. Is there a wide range of ages involved or is this mostly a younger crowd? How often are there matches in the Chicago area? Any tips or advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

Hello I am new to the forum, I joined because I have a keen Interest in well World War 2 Airsoft and Airsoft. I have been Airsofting for around 10+ years.
My impression is going to be German Soldier, will also be forming a team this summer that will have both Soviet, German and ill equipped Axis nation Loadouts (such as Bulgaria, Hungary and Italy) for WW2 Airsoft ops.
My Primary is an upgraded AGM MP40, Marushin M712 8mm Gbb and a WE luger with Stock and Snail magazine.
I also hope to get some WW2 OP's going in the New England Area, I am Co Owner of CDI airsoft, we produce, write and supply Airsoft OPs with props and Game Staff.
We are also going to be producing some artillery pieces in the future consisting of nebelwerfers, Pak 38's and Type 63 Rocket Launchers that shoot foam projectiles 300-500 feet. We may even be opening a field in Northern Mass in the coming year.
I joined this forum because I feel I can learn some valuable information and think it's a great place to get some WW2 OPs going in my Area.

I live in Colorado in the outskirts of Aurora. A lot of the re-enactors I've seen around here made me want to get into the re-enacting hobby. Although I am pretty young, (14 to be exact), I think I can play the part quite well. I am still in the process of acquiring uniforms, weapons, and equipment. I really need some help in this field, so I joined this forum because it seems like a reliable place to get information about things like this. I also understand that reenacting isn't doing too good in Colorado at the moment and I wanted to help, but I think I may be too young for it(although a lot of people back then joining the army who were lying about their age only had a couple of years on me). I hope I can make the cut. At the moment I have a helmet liner, a 'Hell on Wheels' Eisenhower jacket I got at Pueblo for $35, several toy guns (including a scoped PPSH-41 with a stick mag), a green beret with a Hell on Wheels pin on it, some other stuff. Also my dad was in the Air Force back in the mid-80s and he has some war surplus(although he did let go of a lot of his things). So he has uniforms, boots, bayonets, we even found some ammo crates from WW2 at a yard sale that were only $5 each. I'm about to go into 10th grade and I think I'm the only person at my school who actually has a passion for things like this(not to mention respect. When I talk about stuff like this people laugh in my face, even teachers). I also have a tight budget so finding reasonably priced equipment and clothing is going to be quite difficult as I've seen. I really want to do this so if anyone out there can help me please let me know.
