Hopefully we can find a good date, I personally have reenactments the next two weekends, and another in November. Other than those three weekends I should be open, and hopefully we won't receive the same weather patterns

I, Nate, and Nate's friends stuck around for the rest of the game. About an hour after Migs left, things picked up, there were about 50 other modern players at the peak. Gaming was good, we all got a good deal of kills. I had a number of modern airsofters express interest in WW2 Airsoft, it sounded like a few of then wanted to at least attend an event at partisans. It wasn't as successful as I hoped, but it wasn't a total waste.

I take it I'm the only German attending?

Right now, if you're under 18 you need a full face mask, otherwise full seal goggles. I might have an extra mask or two if anyone needs one. Jolly Green, the guy who actually runs the games, usually has a few to lend out as well

Hugo Boss designed the SS uniforms. I think that's enough explanation.

I think the Sunday games are still more popular, but I'm up for either, and possibly both.

Y-straps are actually leather and go outside, they attach to your belt/pouches, and backpacks if you wear them.

Y-straps may be helpful too.

There are plenty of places to get all that gear. mantheline.com, hessenantique.com, militarytour.com, 1944militaria.com to name a few. I've ordered from all, and have never had any problems. They'll carry belts, buckles, pouches, canteens, breadbags, mess tins, all of it.

If you're going for SS, I would suggest getting an Oak camo smock. It works for anything mid to late war. Dot 44 is always popular, but should only be used for events that take place on or after D-Day.

I spot Mg42, non-cocking sniper mosin, and bolt-closed ppsh. And I see now what the issue was with the tanks, they look like tiger bodies with PZIV turrets

Yeah, watch it again... No tigers there...
Maybe you're thinking of the PZIVH... That's a little Flaggrantly Wrong, but not a tiger

It had a budget of like $300,000,000 an is Russia's first movie in IMAX 3D or something. Even with the love aspect, it looks good. They did a good job getting every thing correct, only one or two things that I can see that may not be accurate.

Sorry I didn't tell anyone, but it was kinda spur of the moment. I played at GZA today, with my SS impression. I had AT LEAST 30 people ask me about my uniform and weapons, and all of those expressed interest in a crossover game. There were also four or five people there using thompsons, so they're already part of the way there. The owner is still excited about us trying to start up again. I want to get there for a few more normal games before we set up a crossover event. If anyone is interested in going to a normal game, as some of you have expressed, send me a pm and I'll try to get it all organized. All we really need to do is pick a date, and maybe organize some rides.

I went to the GZA shop today to ask Lester about all this (And left with an STG44, impulse buying will be the death of me). He was extremely excited to here that we're trying to make a comeback. He said it's fine for anyone to come down and play (no issues with SS), and brought up the "Uberfallen in Der Zunkunft" game I mentioned earlier. He said just to give him a date a few weeks in advance, he'll promote it, get people to come, and make it happen. he's very excited about the idea.

In the future, buy through their eBay page. They're unreliable when you go through their site

I'd be up for a coordinated meet up at a regular event. We just need to make sure some of us krauts are okay to use SS impressions. It's all I have at the moment

I'm in touch with the owner and many of the employees, I might be able to convince them to take a regular Sunday game and make it into a themed event. They get to charge an extra 5 dollars or so on top of their weekly $20 price, we get to play for $25. They get a few extra players, we get an opportunity to recruit. It's a win-win situation.

I was recruited into this hobby after attending an event ("Uberfallen in der Zunkunft" if I remember correctly) that blended WW2 and modern Airsoft. Something about Nazi time-travel or something of the like. Maybe we should talk to Lester at GZA and see if we can't organize a similar game. I play modern at GZA every now and then, and most people there don't even know WW2 Airsoft exists. As for the issue of numbers, we could get some Volksturm armbands and bring some modern players to our side. They get over 80 players a week there during the summer, I think we could convince a few. I'm in contact with Lester and a bunch of GZA's employees, let me know if you think we should organize something like this.

If you lose the shells, which is extremely easy to do, you have to pay for new ones. It can get costly. It has a low range, and is slow (but realistic) to fire.
