Really well. I was impressed with the accuracy being able to shoot a tin can from about 60-70 feet away. Not sure about the fps as I haven't had it chronograph-ed yet, but it seems reasonable

The front site is often referred to as the iron site. This is a contemporary (not WW2 phrase) which differentiates traditional sites from red dots or aim point type sites which of course were not in use back in the day.

I mean the rear sight to get the scope on

You must slide the sight completly on the left or right and it appears a no head screw which fixe the body of the sight. Unscrew it and slide it.

I was teasing about in the woods with my Springfield today and noticed that somehow my front site bumped significantly out of kilter and without tools I was unable to straighten it out. Once home it was an easy fix. I mention it so others will be mindful of this apparent potential issue. Incidentally bent sites was a common issue on real M1903s and site covers became an issued item.
Enjoyed very much shooting this rifle today. Very impressed with this airsoft gun.

I have set of upgrade parts on the way in right now. I'm going to make this into my personal US weapon. PPS/SHS sears and cylinder upgrade kit, stock JG BAR-10 hopup chamber, and Nineball bucking. Going to stabilize the inner barrel, as well. But I have parts coming in from a bunch of different places, so it might be a good week or two before I get them all in and get around to installing them.
Also, eHobbyAsia restocked on the mags. 9 bucks each, and for only two of those, my shipping came out to just 4 bucks. Not bad at all.

Good to know what the shipping is on two spare magazines. That's surprisingly reasonable! Let us know how the upgrades work out and if possible photograph the process and add to the thread on S&T upgrades.

So I bought the S&T 1903 and its a great gun, shoots pretty accurate! Problem I have is the rounds keep getting stuck in the magazine. I have tried taking them apart, adding in plastic along the side, but still jams.. any suggestions? anyone else have this problem?

I just have the one magazine for now and fortunately it works great but it may be that you got a bad mag and a replacement will remedy your issue? Failing that squirt in a tiny amount of some pure silicon oil and work the spring alot and then load with BBs. Good luck with it.

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I'm interested in the possibilities of converting this rifle to a Lee Enfield No4.
Does anyone with the gun think it could work?

Waste of a good replica. Use the components from an actual derelic Enfield and marry them with VSR internals as been demonstrated by numerous builds on this site. Typically you can get the Needed actual parts for less than the cost of this replica most of which would need to be bought anyway and a good VSR like the JG BAR 10 will be less than this rifle. The stock BAR 10 will also shoot harder out of the box than this one.

Fielded my M1903 at a local air soft game with around 300 players on the field. The gun garnered a lot of attention. I fielded it all day and ran it with .28 gram BBS which it will shoot with ease after Droopailles hop up modification. The air soft field has a marked off range up to 300 feet. With .28s at 393 fps it was ranging right under 250 feet. That's right... 250 feet and I have witnesses, everyone wanted to shoot it and most were very impressed with the range and accuracy. The only mods I have on it are the aforementioned hop up modification and I have thoroughly cleaned and lubed all parts of the gun. I went into the backyard before I fielded it and used silicon on the barrel and magazines and shot around 100 rounds out of each mag to break it in. On game day they all worked 100% without any misfeeds. The only issue I had with the gun was a jammed BB in the barrel when I was chronoing the gun. I was not able to recreate the problem so I do not know what caused the gun to jam but luckily I had a unjamming rod available which solved the issue. Now once I was on the field I realized how different the play style is. I had to be extremely patient and pick my shots but every kill was definitely worth it. When I got the first kill the guy I shot was so impressed that he came up and shook my hand (after I was done jumping in excitement). The rest of the kills were equally exciting and with the consistency and range of the gun it definitely falls into my top 5 favorites. The major things I have noticed in getting this gun to perform is cleanliness and making sure that the gun is properly broken in and lubricated. I have had some of the issues that some of the other members on the forum have had and 100% of them were solved by tinkering and cleaning. If you are fairly handy with air soft guns and a patient player I would recommend this rifle all day long. Here are a few of the pics (I know they are not WWII but I still wanted to post them, please remove if not appropriate)

Hey Droopaille! Would you consider selling one of those Scope Mounts that you had devised for your 1903? I had recently acquires a G&G M1903A3 and habven´t been able to secure a Sight Mount that doesn´t cost me twenty years of indentured serviture and one kidney! If you don´t mind, I´d like to send you a PM to further adress the issue...

Really like the DoughBoy look and suspect THAT along with the rifle got a lot of attention. Id really like to do an all bolt action game sometime with a trench network.

The M1903A1 with the shorter upper handguard and ladder site together with the straight butt stock and especially the finger grooves is the ICONIC Springfield in my opinion. This looks great and inspires me to copy your efforts. Do you think there is adequate thickness in the stock to create the finger grooves?

yes ZAM doesn't want the finger grooves but I can milling this. the thickness allows the machining but you can also buy the right stock

It looks like you fabricated the rear site yourself with PVC and ABS tubing and sheeting which apparently allows you to convert it back to the A3 variant?
