Sounds like the rescue of Benito Mussolini by SS commandos and FJ, commanded by Otto Skorzeny - rare equipment was probably the large number (at least 8 I believe) of FG42's used in the operation.

OK , well in 1943 , an operation was launched by the Germans that included the use of some rare equipment , can you name the comanding officer for the mission? what type of strange equipment was to be used? and what rare weapon was used in more numbers that had ever been used by the German unit involved in the operation?. I did say question. We don't want to make this impossible, or make too much of a cumbersome query. But whatever, he's right.

Yeap, Binary you got it. The Strange equipment that was supposed to be used to get Mussolini out was to be a FW Dragonfly helicopter , but it was sent to another sector and didn't make it back in time , so the Storch was used instead.

That was a little too fast . Correct, a EUREKA beacon would be used to transmit to the REBECCA recievers on the plane.

This one might be hard , or easy , depending on how well you know the Italian Army. During WWII there where 3 airborne units in the Italian Army , the Folgore , Nembo and .......... Can you name the 3rd unit?

My mom's friend's father was either the pilot or the bombardier on the Enola Gay, and he flew the Hiroshima mission. Just thought it was interesting.

Yep that was quick, good job. ;D
(Interestingly enough, there were no Tiger tanks on the American front in Normandy. All Tigers in Normandy were placed on the British and Canadian front south of Caen.)

Staying on the Tiger subject. Who was in charge of training the gunners for the Tiger tanks when they first came out?.
