That's right . The Luftwaffe ran the gunnery school for the new Tiger tanks , because they where the only ones that knew how to use the 88cm guns that where used on the Tigers.

Ok , easy one for the AMIES. The 45th ID has a native american good luck symbol as it's patch , what do the colors of the shoulder patch represent?

They're the colors of Spain, referring to how the 45th division was from mostly national gaurd units from colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and I believe Arizona(?). The area was explored by the Spanish during the peroid of exploration and colonization.
Bonus: the good luck symbol is the "thunderbird" a native american symbol for happiness I think.

The swastika was an Indian symbol rather then an Native American symbol... If you look it also switches directions they aren't exactly pointing in the same direction ones clockwise the other is counter clockwise.

It was the Anastazi Indian symbol for the four winds and it was reverse pattern from the Swaztika but obviously at first glance looked just like it. (My fathers original National Guard Unit.) I think YankeeDiv 26 has control of the board. Assuming his answer was correct. (Sounds right as the unit was formed and came from the Southwest (Colorado, Utah, Arizona and a large contingent of American indians from Oklahoma.

What bore size cannon was used on Monty's m3 grant tank during the north africa campaign? Hint #1. the cannon does not refer to the one mounted on the turret. Hint #2. The tank is located at the British imperial war museum in London (research purposes) Hint #3. It is somewhat of a trick question. More hints will come later if nobody can provide the correct answer.

It was an M3 Grant, so probably a 75mm.

Well Monty Rode in a Grant Command variant so it was fitted with radio equipment and having guns removed or replaced with dummies.

KRaddatz got it. They removed the 75mm cannon on it and replaced it with a dummy on the outside. Your turn.

The Soviet tactic of raming Luftwaffe bombers worked so well , that the Luftwaffe used it against US bomber formations , on one attack they managed to get 400 planes into the air , but US fighters kept most of them away from the Fromation and only 3 FW190 modified with solid steel leading edges managed to score hits on the formation , 2 B24s and one B17 were hit and brought down.

;D j/k of course!
FANTASTIC thread idea polak! One note- Red, as 2nd Bat said, the 'rolling cross' symbol that anyone born after WWII identifies with the Nazi Party, was both a Native American used symbol, (I have a sliver bracelet of my mothers that has the symbol all over it, I believe it was made by the Hopi Indians) and a Indian (from India) symbol- we all get to be right on this one.
ok, here is a real question- I know this is supposed to be turn-based but it looks like we abandoned that format a while ago. Are non-WWII questions legal? I hope so.....
What is the name of the first "Ironclad" warship, and under what flag did it sail? (nation)
