Depends on the area, we use several fields. I have worked on all the farms around here and have permission and free reign to do whatever i want on the areas that arent planted. They are anywhere from 20 to 100 acres, a few abandoned farms here and there.

Thanks for the information, I think I'll just leave the HEER insignia on it. For the time being I think I'll just deal with the cheapy STURM LW M43 I have. I guess it gives me a good reason to start piecing together a HEER kit...I need a bigger "war room"

Yeah, it sucks! My G3 is my favorite non WWII airsoft gun but bugs me that it has a plactic body, it doesnt seem quite right with the few real steel parts and wood stocks I have on it.

Does anyone know where I can get a metal kit for a G3 airsoft gun? I've checked all over the place and they all seem to be out of stock. Any info would be appreciated.

I was recently given a really nive ATF M43 HAT. My dad got a new one with SS insignia and just gave me his HEER one, it's practically brand new. I do Luftwaffe Field Division and was curious if the Luftwaffe insgina would be ok on a HEER green hat or if i should just leave it alone. The Field Division got taken over by the HEER in 1943 so there was an oddball mix of gear after then but I cant find anything on the hats. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello all! I haven't been on here in a while and when I was, I didn't post often. I figured I'd re-introduce myself, My name is Jake, I'm 22 and I live in Pa. I work at a factory that made Stuart tanks during WW2 it cranked out about 5000 of them, now we make tractor trailers there, I'm a welder. My main impression is Luftwaffe Field Division just because I like the oddball mix of uniform and equipment that happened when they got absorbed by the HEER in 1943. I'm slowly getting into American Reenacting with the purchase of the amazingly awesome BAR. So far I have a Bar98 (in no small part inspired by the Sgt Tom builds and various others) a Walther P38 Co2, a custom 1928 Thompson i built for fun and the new BAR. I also do a Vietnam grunt impression and some various merc and post apocalyptic stuff just to justify all the gear i have ;D Thanks for bothering to read and i hope to contribute what i can to the WW2AA community.

I recently purchased an m1 carbine stock of the airborne variety and was looking at it...i think a C02 will fit in the pistol grip of the stock after the pistol is stripped and skeletonized, it would have to feed through the bottom like a pistol but had a 20rd magazine, which isnt far off from the real thing, it will have a dummy mag for looks but i think this is a cool idea..

To BigBoy, I am building a Walther variant as they were used more than the Mauser variant and as for the wood to plastic bonding v.s field stripping, the receiver and action is metal and removable, the plastic to wood is for the stock and simulating the bakelite top cover...to jimmiroquai thanks for the link its really helpful, but it doesnt look like the guy made the Bang gas system and a few other details that i am putting in, but its definetly a help, i appreciate it

Well i havent beenon here in a while but here I am again...My DBoy K98 took a giant dump (like that never happens) and i have an old but very serviceable M14 so I am thinking of building a G41 Walther production. Out of all of you gentleman's experience what is the best epoxy to use for bonding wood to plastic (if their is one)? And i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to fabricate the receiver. Thank you.

I agree with Fusilier. Why can't you hunt with the gun on the original stock? I do it with my Mosin Nagant....it looks way more badass anyway!

Thanks Fusilier, thats a big help. Do you know what kind of thing that they would use to carry the trommelhalter for the MG-15 (AK47 C mag), for the short AK mags I use for my custom MG-15 so far i have been using my FG-42 bandolier, but i know its wrong

I am trying to better my LFD impression, i have a rilfeman kit and a machine gunner (MG-15) kit. Does anyone have any good pics of what kind of gear these guys wore, because I know they got some pretty odd ball stuff due to the fact that they were kind of a throw together unit.
So far I have:
LFD Splinter tunic Luftwaffe blue/grey pants Fallschirmjager Helmet Fallschirmjaer K98 bandolier Jump boots two bread bags, One for food and what not, and the other is for my machinegunner impression, (i saw pictures of guys with one in the front for thier cleaning kit and spare rifle ammo) canteen mess tin ......any other suggestions would be most appreciated

If this thing happens and sells then the next order of business would be to suggest: 1. M1 Garand (duh) 2. G43 3. Skirmishable K98 4. FINISH THE DAMNED GERMAN MG'S!!!

Get the original COD with the United Offsensive Expansion. It rules! COD2 is also amazing, but in my opinion you can't beat the original

Wow! You guys have excellent stuff! Im glad to see someone else treats their gear like gear instead of treating it like an artifact of something (like some of the people in my area). Me, I play enough that the white wash wears off after a while on its own, it gives everything that nice "used" look.

It is winter here in Pennsylvania where I live so I just decided it was time to "winter up" my gear. I use a sheet i cut fancy into a zeltbahn shape and i white washed my FJ helmet. I was just wondering, does anyone white wash thier helmet and treat their uniform and gear like actual combat equipment that you would essentially live in? Or is this blasphemy in some peoples minds to get their gear dirty, and have it stay dirty, cause in some cases, it is expensive.
