Also, you might want to get it in a smaller size. The ears tucked into the hat looks a little silly IMHO Click

You do not need belt hooks, the belt rests on you fine, I would tighten your y-straps a bit more, the belt is laying a tad low, but not to the point where you need to waste it on hooks. Your setup so far is pretty good. Perfect for WW2 airsoft, although I would reccomend picking up a messkit and canteen after your weapon.

Your coming along fine! keep your EKII and your NCO boards on until you get into a unit and they tell you their standards as far as rank and uniform, def get tunic hooks you will appreciate them when you are engaged in combat & running. COming along nice, research and watch anything you can! Gerry

i never said he didnt look good so far i think he looks good as far as he is, but belt hooks will help as gerry said, by the way blitz if ur gonna spend the money on a repop bayo just shell out the 10 or 20 bucks to get a real one they cost just as much as repops, and for k98 pouches go to grigsby.com he has piles of real ones for 50 bucks for a pair GREAT deal lol.. other wise coming along nicely ;D

Belt hooks are the least of your worries. Sinch the belt down.

I say repro bayonet for 1 main reason, why risk destroying or losing an original in airsoft. If you drop or use a repro or something happens to it, there is no loss. When you destroy or lose a original, it eats away at ones conscience. And while yes the belt hooks help, but if the belt fits, they are not needed right away. Worry about the larger items, that you need to attend events rather than the little details, it is just airsoft you are not reenacting where everything needs to be perfect. Unless you plan on getting into the reenacting scene, disband everything I said and go for the belt hooks at the link provided by 9 SS.

Ritter Hahn, Swap your meskit and canteen locations, and you can attach the small strap on your gas can to one of the dangeling straps on your y straps, much more comfortable and less noisy that way.
You've got a great start there, ready for action!

Will do. I was kind of unsure where that small strap went and ended up just hooking it to my belt! As for the messkit and canteen, how do I keep my canteen from swinging in front of me? I had the two switched for last weekend's event, but the canteen kept swinging forward and would end up underneath me when I crawled. I was afraid I'd damage it, so I switched them. Help on this would be appreciated.

Ritter, The gas can straps should be over your left shoulder going down to your right hip this will keep the top of you gascan away from your mess tin and canteen, add your gas cape pouch so that the gascan doesn't clang against your mess tin. Looking good there so far, keep it up! Gerry

the 9thss was formed in 1943 and deployed to the russian front in early 1944 so ur tunic would eaither be a m43 or a m42 tunic with m42 or 43 pants.. and the main camo was oak a or b

I was told M40 tunics and trousers were OK. It was at along shot with the M36 trousers but i was more concerned about the material IE i did not know if summer cloths were OK

@shady I know you posted this picture to try and pull off wearing a FJ jumpsmock. The photo in question is of a Luft Feld Divison soldat wearing a Feld Divison jacket. You can tell its NOT a jumpsmock by the exposed buttons on the front and the shoulder boards. Jumpsmocks have neither. Also take note in the photo that the jacket in question is splinter B not splinter A. Not trying to bust balls just a few notes. ATF has a sale right now on their LFD jackets. -Drew

Drew- Yeah I replaced that jump smock before winter with a reversible parka. But thanks, now my balls are going to hurt all week! (lol/jk)
My question is; How the hell can you tell the difference between A and B in a high contrast grainy black and white photo?!? I am completely devoid of this ability. Maybe I need to update my cerebral drivers, or something.

The geometric shapes in Splinter A are much larger than in Splinter B. There are also a couple of shapes that are very distinctive between the two. Here is a side by side comparison.
