We often see people with this and that rank, but we rarely see the men that they are leading. How can this be ?

Grazie Adler! I just realized that I also need tent poles and stakes! I believe my helmet to be post war repainted, but I do see the wartime green paint underneath and on the underside of the helmet! Im going to try to carefully remove the olive drab over coat and see whats underneath.
The upcoming Rockford event I will have loaner gear that should complete my impression from my unit. Ill take lots of pictures of our unit in action!

Thanks! The tube is taking a poop tho. It only works with HD.
And you also have a great impression! I am a big fan of the impressions of nations that arent represented widely. All you need now is an anti-tank rifle! Your unit looks great!!!

I was wondering what would be more common for an ss impression a m36 green collar tunic or a all grey m43 tunic?

What time period? M42 is good for generic as it fits in for early and late war. If your lookin for just early an M40 or M36 would work. If your looking for JUST Late war M43. It depends on what period and what division.

You can use an M36 tunic throughout the War. There are plenty of pics of guys wearing them at the end of the War.

Ya I think so, so both would work it just depends on the choice of late war or early war style. I wish I could do fallischirmerjager.

Really nice set up Vitjaz, and for someone at your age portraining a Hitlerjugend division member makes it look very realistic!

I'll second tibby on that one viicii, those pics look great! I half expected the "helmet on a stick" to be followed with one that had the helmet and stick on the ground next to you, and both your hands covering your head! Again, nice job!

hey sgttom in your last post on the pic thread, on the bottom picture, the guy in the visor cap has a Flaggrantly Wrong award, it's a blue max, that was a ww1 award, and it was worn around the neck not on the tunic pocket

He looks old enough to have been awarded the Pour le Mérite Award ( correct name for this award ) as a Junior Officer in WWI .

I did notice the NVA Tunic and a few other items that could be fixed , but you guys are just getting started and you are posting on the Working on it thread , so i see no reason to jump on you and tell you your imps are wrong.

Nice pics viicii. I like the guy propping the helmet up the best because you don't see his face and its obvious he is trying to determine if there is a sniper. Some of our best airsoft shots are when you photograph a guy without capturing the face.

Regarding Paul Rech's post --- I'm liking it Paul. You are getting quite the reputation as the tailor in our group.

Thanks Otto, I wasn't sure if the overalls would turn out when starting this project three months ago. The hardest part was mixing the clothing dye to the right shade of gray. This idea came to me years ago, putting together a set of vehicle overalls, but had no reason or rhyme until now. Seems to me even when vehicles are present it is an article of clothing rarely encountered in the WWII reenacting/airsoft community. The topic of vehicle/tank crew impressions has popped up from time to time and usually ends with discussions on the Panzer wrap or for the Waffen SS re-enactors, the panzerkombi. I thought to myself what about the regularly seen gray overalls, which were used by more than just panzer crews. Vehicle crews were issued them, mechanics, and certain large caliber gun crews, to name a few.

Dan, Looks good so far and quick! You need to take those pants in and some tailoring (or a hot wash and dry) to tighten up your tunic, you've been doing that Ami paratrooper thing too long and it has got you used to wearing a baggy blouse! May I ask wht you have the back of your Y straps hooked to a D ring and not directly to the underside of your belt? Gerry
