Nice job. It looks like you'll have your basic impression down once you sew on the insignia. What is all your gear made by? Just wondering.

The M37 schnurschuh where made with black dyed leather , late war M37s where of undyed leather in 2 shades of Brown .
M44 schnurschuh where made of un dyed leather but in a single shade of brown.
Off course there are always different variations on these .

In the pic where you're wearing a ressie... *please* tell me it's a modern filter or you're holding your breath.
1940s cannisters had asbestos in them.... *never* wear them or breath through them - just not worth the risk of a very nasty death.

cdi Looks pretty good so far. If you want to go all camo I'd suggest Dot 44 as a more realistic option. Major seems a bit too high of a rank. It seems to me a sergeant(not correct term for Germans) would be more fitting. As it will take you a while to even get a team with 9 soldats, which was the German equivalent of a squad.

Thanks for the Input! Dot 44 is probably going to be for my first SS impression but this is for Heer. I almost want my impression to be that of a Prussian Aristocrat, so I can say stuff like I had this made for me by Mussolini's personal Tailor while in Italy or something like that. As for the Major rank at most games I attend I am either XO, Command Staff, CO or a squad/section leader. I would feel silly ordering groups around as an Enlisted man. As for my team my XO and I have very high hopes for it. So far we have 6 people signed up excluding us and 3-4 more that are interested. I would hope to achieve a Unit size of 20+. Also have some Aux units with Partisan, Bulgarian,Romanian Hungarian and Italian type Impressions as well as an armored unit and artillery battery.

Not sure what a Prussian Aristocrat would wear ;D. For regular Army, officer tunic and trousers would be best. Custom made stuff wasn't very common especially among officers I would think. You know how the German Army was about appearances after all.

well its good except for the tan and water tunic i would pick up a regular tunic and then tan and water parka, this way you could use the correct tunic and have the corect camo parka!

cdi, some *very* odd choices there tbh. Why an afrika korps cap with *very* late war items and why an oak smock if you're wearing a camo tunic anyway? If you want to go down the Prussian Aristocrat route, i'd suggest breeches, tailored officers tunic and riding boots. Camo was incredible uncommon in the wehrmacht and tan and water very late war, I know a camo smock, reversible parka and trousers and few minor items were made in it but to be honest you've gone a bit overboard on the camo. This is my pal Dieselmonkeys Heer Majors loadout, its probably more in keeping with a traditional prussian officer look.

My suggestions, get a haircut, shave, new cover, and dirty all that stuff up, among other things.

That is a big NO NO with the Faust . Shoulder fire , by your side yes , against the body or in a confined space , NO.

I'll agree on the hair cut and getting the stuff dirty (I do it naturally at games however) but for the facial hair it stays. My feelings on facial hair for German WW2 reenactment. Shave it off if you want to really relive history. You can grow it back in 2 weeks, no big deal. Showing up with beard or goatee in German uniform is just........ well let's just say to be nice...... not realistic at all.

Unless your a Gebirgsjager...otherwise cut it, we all sacrifice for the sake of history. Honestly the only thing with the new pics, the facial hair, move your bayonet more towards the back, and ditch the helmet net, other than that it looks good.

Adler69- This is airsoft. As stated it is for a team panzerfaust use pamphlet. After using these for years, trial and error you can get a more steady shot off if you use your hip as a base. It is easier to throw the valve back and provides for a more steady shot. Sacrifice realism to be more combat effective. If this was 1944 and the Russians were closing in and someone did that they would be in a world of hurt if they lived. Though this is for airsoft. However if you want to get into backblast the panzershreck I have half constructed is going to utilize a nifty backblast function that will coat anyone who stands behind it with powder.
Cryonics/ Guitarmaster I appreciate the concern for the facial hair but I am an Airsofter, not a reenactor or living historian. There was a time when I wanted to be a reenactor but after meeting several I was completely turned off to it. Another reason for the facial hair is, Its winter. I erect communications towers, I raised one in Rutland, MA today 110 feet ontop of a 350 foot hill 50 mph wind gust, a little bit of snow and bitter freezing cold, its really hard to communicate with a facemask and having facial hair is just a pure win in a situation like that. I will have facial hair till the day I die!
Thanks for the comments!

I wouldn't worry about it cdi, I've seen quite a few reenactors with facial hair anyways. I am not saying its correct but its only a hobby whether talking reenacting or airsoft. I don't even mind long hair as long as its properly covered up at all times. Anyways don't these belong in the comments thread? ;D

+1 SGTtom.. Now for my 2 cents. I agree with the Facial hair comment, it would be dangerous to wear facial hair, especially as a Heer officer. if it has a practical purpose, i can understand keeping it. but in that case, i would not trim it into a Goatee, i would let it grow wild. alternatively, if you don't want a cold face up there you can shave, and wear a nice comfy Torque. i have found it ratehr fun to wear in the work place, as it makes a great hat, scarf, and facial cover. in regards to the panzer faust thing. Ultimately its a tool, to be used against armored targets,or buildings. but it would be wise to study how to use them first. i would not recommend ever putting it over the shoulder, you cannot use the sights in that case, you either put it under arm, or in the crook of your elbow.
Keep on trucking CDI I like the new tunic, its much better then the Water tan one.

If you know what you are doing and have been properly trained on the use of the Faust , it is easy and period correct to fire it from the shoulder.
