Raimond made the claim that I used an airsoft Springfield at Benton Harbor. Then WW2goy told him that I did not and that I had used a reall M1903A3 rifle.
Read the post more carefully, WW2goy did not say I used a reall M1903 rifle in the picture, he said I used a reall Springfield at Benton Harbor.
WW2goy also has seen and fired my airsoft Springfield in person so he knows the difference between the reall deal and the airsoft replica.

Tommy Gunner, Is that the same plastic stock springfield you landed at St. Joe with ? Plastic stock Springfield at Benton? I landed with a real steel M1903A3 Springfield rifle. Why did you think I landed with an airsoft rifle? TommyGunner

AT some point in the near future I would love to buy the WW1 USMC uniform from Shiperfarbik. I have seen the uniform in person and I have to say that it is the finiest uniform replica I have ever seen.
I have the full web gear set for a WW1 USMC riflemen already. The M1910 Belt, P12 1st aid pouch, WW1 USMC M1910 shovel cover, the M1910 shovel, M1910 canteen pouch and canteen, M1910 Haversack plus pack tail, WW1 reproduction shelter half with poles and stakes, WW1 Springfield ammo Bandolier, and finally a WW1 helmet. I also have a reall M1917 Eddystone (mine is the .303 1914 P-14 version) also I have my M1903 Springfield airsoft rifle.
All I need is the uniform now lol.

I actually did that with my TM and MM M1928 Thompson, I removed the spring so the bolt stays back after cocking it and it looks better that way when on display.
Its very easy to do and will in no way effect the function of anything on the gun that is vital.

I have alot of experiance with the Well Mp-7 and Well Skorpion. I planned on useing them for the Sten MKIII I have been working on so I bought them and the FPS and general performance simply sucks.
The ROF is very low and the FPS is low as well, a gas pistol outperforms both guns. However there is a light at the end of the tunnel, the TM version of either gun works amazingly!!!! TMs guns fire very well and have good ROF and FPS, the down side is they cost twice as much as the Well versions.

Funny this topic should be brought up but the next event here in the Midwest that I host is going to be a WW1 theamed event. TommyGunner Wow,I suppose everyone has the correct WW1 kits and weapons? I can't wait to see pics! Actually none of us have any of the correct WW1 uniforms or gear. However we do have all 100% correct WW1 weapons. I supply the attendies with Bolt action rifles and another member who builds AEG WW1 machine guns brings M1917 mgs and Vickers Mgs for us to use. Really the battle is going to be a WW1 test battle to see how we can work an all bolt action battle. To participate the only requirement for the game is that you bring any type of bolt action rifle. WW2 kits are acceptable for now until we begin investing in our WW1 kits. I currently have several full WW1 US web kits, I simply have to buy a uniform as do many of our guys here in Illinois. But it will be awhile until people are wearing the WW1 uniforms. But the most important part (the use of bolt action weapons and Mgs) will be instituted. TommyGunner

I like these alot!!! Its a great way to make a very good looking look alike BAR.
I have been fiddling with a project very similar you yours but using a bent and folded hand made sheet aluminum BAR upper and lower reciver assembly put over the M-14 stock and building the front hand guard from wood.
Very good work, I love these types of creative projects!!

The gun does look very solid, and the fore grip and stock look very nice as well. I also love the way your barrel and gas tube assembly came out.

Well at this past Illinois event we had this guy at our event and he brought his bunker with and I gotta say this thign is perfect for airsoft. To guys could carry it into the field and it was set up in about 5 min with minial effort. Plus when we wanted to move it the several times we did it was very easy to do.

JUNE 6TH 2009 AIRSOFT EVENT Thanks for everyong one who came out to the event. I had an absolute balst. Each scenerio we did was simply great and the level of sportsman ship was great. The best thing about this event was that there was only ONE AEG!!!!!!! Every single soldier on the field (contrary to the first two photos) was equiped with bolt action rifles!!!!! This was by far the most accurate WW2 airsoft event I have been too simply for the fact that the there was only one MP-40 in use and it was usually a fearfully deciding factor in movement and fire disapline. We also had the pleasure of a prototype light weight bunker being used at the event as well. I was also very pleased to have three MGW Bolt action rifles in use at the event, they performed as expected and added alot to the feel of the event. We had the new MGW K-98 rifle in use by Frank I used the M1903A1 Springfield Rifle And Charlie used a new version of my Lee-Enfield No.4 MKI rifle Here are a few more pics from the event. MGW K-98 and new Lee-Enfield No.4 MKI Rifles. The rest of the guys were equipped with standard unmodified BAR-10 G Spec rifles each one shooting at 400fps. As a group with the exception of the Mp-40 we probably used under 250rnds of ammo for the entire day. Each shot had to be placed and all movements planned and covered. The use of the bolt action rifles completly eliminated the paintsoft spray and pray and caused each memeber of each team to rely on the guy next to him and use alot fo fire disapline. Also each rifleman only carried 120rns of ammo on him and if anyone ever ran out of ammo they would have to go to am ammo dump to get more. However I dont think anyone except the Mp-40 ever ran out of ammo in any scenerio. The Mp-40 served as the machinegun and was used very skillfully by the germans to surpress the allied advancements and became a key weapon in thier defense, and also a high priority target. Well your off to a great start Waldo and have a great late 44-45 kit going.
See if you can grab a Second contract 42 or 43 dated upper and power pack, those were used the most in 43 and 44 and would deffinatly set that mid 43 look you want. Also grab a Jungle first aid pouch if you can, its not nessecary for a 43 kit but is a very recognizable peice of equipment that says your kit is mid- late 43 without a doubt.

Im not at all familiar with that gun what so ever actually.
Each one of my Rifle conversions use the BAR-10 or VSR-10 rifles as a base gun for the donor internals.

Hey good kit Waldo!
My only question is what time period/ campaign are you going for?
Judging by your late war depot made roll top P-41 pack and short bayonet scabard coupled with what looks like a US cartridge belt and at least one army canteen cover I would say late 44-45?
I like the fact that you dont have leggings on is great since about as many Marines wore them as didnt. Also I like the US stamped shovel cover, very nice. What 1st aid pouch are you wearing as well?
It does not look like you have to change anything, just add to the kit now.
