I joined a blank fire unit here in St. Louis, I guess I'm moving up in the world. WE have two motorcycles, a Opel Blitz, 5cm mortar, Panzerfausts, Lafette tripods for our MGs, and a lot of stuff. So fun.

I'm probably going to give up on airsoft and see if I can join a black-fire unit instead. Most of them have artillery pieces and vehicles.

I'm putting an advertisement on the St.Louis Airsoft Players' Forum, I think that's the best place to start. I'll send misifit a PM as well.

The only active groups that I know of that do regular games are in New England and Wisconsin. California, Michigan, and Florida/Georgia host a game now and then. Missouri did host a game last October and misfit13 (the event organizer) did an awesome job of trying to drum up interest. But he can't do it all alone. Apparently that game went well yet only a few of the players (the polite ones) posted after action comments. Don't give up if you're really interested in the hobby but developing regular events and maintaining a continuous interest are huge hurdles in this hobby. Good luck. It's a lot easier to play computer games or to find other excuses. Maybe if you drove one extra State you could participate. Thanks for the reply. I've been looking for some blank-fire units in my area as well, but so far no luck. Hopefully I can find some people out there that want to form a unit, we really need one. The only problem is most of the people that play airsoft around here are 13 year olds who got all of their WW2 knowledge from Call of Duty, now I myself am 16 going on 17 but there is no way I'm playing with people that young. Even if they had the money and will to make a unit they would probably want to make it something so obscure that we could never play, like a Waffen-SS Falschirmjaeger Sturmpioniere detachment or something, I'd bet they would all be outfitted with StG44s and Italian camo too.

This is the last time I'm going to ask this question. Are there any units or people who wish to form a unit in Missouri, Illinois, or Kansas? It seems like there's a group doing something everywhere else, but not here. I live in St. Louis Missouri and would be willing to travel into Illinois and as far west as Kansas City to play. I realize that there was talk of forming a unit about a year ago and that they did actually meet up once, but it seems like all of those people disappeared so something.

Well you could always get Schwerpunkt K98. At least they are good at shooting and look nice. What is that? I've never heard of Schwerpunkt before.

I'm thinking about getting back into reenacting again and would like to get a Kar98k. The only problem is that nobody uses the DBoys Kar98k because it sucks and the Tanaka is too expensive. So do any of you know of a bolt action rifle that looks like the Kar98k or that can be used in its place?

to be honest i agree with many of your points, far too many men I see have MP44 and so many men have thompsons or MP40. id reather see mosins and PPSHes. I'm SS and i have a K98. i would love to see more K98s and mosins on the field. but i see plenty of heer guys, and many of then do have k98s. mabye its just a mind set thing that, "if im SS i must have superior fire power" btw the way where in MO do you live? any where near springfield? Thanks for the feedback! I live in St. Louis.

That's very cool guys, but who would want an Mp-38? I could only see a person wanting to have an early war impression or who just wants to be extra different getting any use form it. I doubt most players would even be able too tell the difference from the Mp-38 and Mp-40........

I think I have an idea guys... I've just been looking at this awesome, and I really mean awesome, color photograph of a Waffen-SS squad in Chambios '44 decked out in Italian camouflage. I'll have to post the pic somehow. Anyways, only two are wearing the coverall uniform, one in the background is wearing a custom made field tunic- AND HE'S NOT AN NCO!!! I'm in love with Italian camouflage, I'm just going to get the following for my uniform: Italian Camo tunic from Hessen M43 Wool Trousers, Hessen M40 Helmet, IMA-USA Blurred Edge Helmet Cover, Spearhead Waffen-SS Combat belt Canteen Bread bag Black Boots Grey Service shirt M43 Wool tunic-Waffen SS model, Hessen And then a gun of course. If any of you have ideas like what type of camouflage, if any, should be worn for WAFFEN-SS impressions relating to Germany '45 or ideas for any other impression please post below.

I'm having great difficulties deciding which impression would be best for me, so I'm leaving it up to you. Please post pictures of interesting soldiers from the war so I can base my impression from them. Thanks

Hey, I was thinking about putting my Leibermuster camouflage to some use and doing a Nachtjäger impression at late-war events. I think it would be nice to have a Vampir (ZG 1229) Night Sight system attached to an StG-44, but I have had a lot of trouble trying to think of what to use as the Vampir! It doesn't have to be functional, but I guess you already knew that. If you have any ideas of what I could use to make it please tell. At the moment I cannot think of anything besides a piece of metal tube to use as part of the sight with a piece of green plastic fil inside to simulate the "night-vision". Attached to it would be some random wires going into a Tornister(I'm not spending $$$ on a metal frame M39) and one wire going into the top of a Gas Mask can.

Hello, I have been looking throught the Stitch-Knot-See and I'm Working on It threads, but I'd thought I would post this anyways. Can you please post a picture of you wearing your best, most authentic looking uniform and gear? This isn't for criticism, I just want to see wsome really really good impressions-and there aren't too many on the Stitch Nazi thread; that is besides the Fallschrimjaeger who seem to be the most numerous type of soldier in the entire Wehrmacht now-a-days(I HATE seeing 1000000 pictures of Fallschrimjaeger, especially one in particular but don't take it personally.). So if you have a good Wafffen-SS or Heer please post

Can you please post the plans or instructions on how to build one of these? I have an idea of making an SIG 33 using this as a base. Imagine launching football sized foam rockets at the enemy!
